Dot Sight Review

This is a spot guage mainly for aiming weapons. It is fairly compact, lightweight, and easy to install. Upon ordering this Ohuhu scope it came with the scope, lens cap, lens cleaning cloth, battery, allen wrench, and instructions manual.


First off we start with the installation of the sight. Always read the instructions first even though this is a very simple install. Now to mount it you have a bolt going through the base of the scope that has an allen head. Basically you adjust the allen bolt out until you can slide the clamping part to the top of what you are mounting it to. Now tighten down the allen until it is a snug fit and the installation is done.


Now comes the adjustments for the lazer light scope. First thing is to put the battery in the unit. It was included in my package. This is a flat battery much like a watch battery only a bit larger.  There is a screw on cap for the battery that has a slot for a coin or similar to twist it off. When you place the battery in the scope make sure that the seal is not damaged, if it is replace it so the scope does not lose its water resistance. Now once you have the battery in place you can start setting up the scope light how you want. Now you decide if you want it to be a green or red light. There are 5 settings for each of the colors 1-5. The smaller the number the lighter and smaller the dot is in the scope. Now that you have chose your selections on the sight marker fire a test round to see how accurate it is. There are 2 twist off caps with adjustments for the sight. They will move the sight up/down and right/left as you twist them. This makes it super easy to get it adjusted accurately. Once you have it adjusted you can then put the caps back on and you are set for your next outting. The scope light will stay on until you move the dial to the G or R. Then it will power down and you do not drain the battery needlessly.


This scope works well for almost any rifle or handgun. However it is not capable of taking huge recoil rounds well. It will knock out of alignment after about 5 shots on heavy recoil weapons. Although I have not blown the guts out of the scope with heavy recoil shots at this point. I have only had to readjust the alignment.


If you are looking for a decent sight scope for a firearm or maybe even a survey type of view this one will most certainly get the job done. Car Air Purifier Review

This is a handy device for traveling or the likes. It is an air purifier/ionizer that plugs into your lighter socket of your vehicle. Upon ordering this unit it came in a metal case with a see through lid, the device, and an instructions page.


To my suprise it does actually work. To me when there is a purifier/ionizer working it makes the air seem stale to me. I Most certainly noticed the air going stale in a few short minutes after being plugged in.


The best uses I have come to find this used for are people who do a lot of traveling in vehicles. Someone like truck drivers, cab drivers, or maybe even travelling sales persons. There are limited uses with this for short distances. If you are not going more then 15 minutes one way this will most like not get the entire cab purified.


When you do plug it into a lighter socket in your vehicle there is a blue led light that poweres up to show it has a connection. If there is no connection to power it will not light up. I was able to test this device in a standard 4 door sedan, truck with and extended cab, and the sleeper birth of a Semi. The larger the area of course the longer it took to make the entire cab purified.


If you are looking for a way to purify the air in the vehicle you are traveling in this is a great unit to pick up. It is light weight and very compact, about the size of a small flash light. Killer Pursuit: An Allison McNeil Thriller Book Review

This is the second book I have read in the Allison McNeil series from author Jeff Gunhus. Currently it is available for e-readers and paperback. It is a decent length book at a little over 300 pages.


This is an extremely well written story. Out of all the new authors to hit the market I put Jeff Gunhus in the top 5% of the best out there. With in the first 5 pages of this book I was already to the point of not wanting to put it down. He has a flair for getting his readers attention and then building on that throughout the entire book.


I am not sure the books actually go through a full editorial process before printing because there are some incorrectly spelled words in the book. Needless to say that is the only thing that could be mentioned about this author's books in a negative manner.


The story is based on an FBI agent with the ability to think outside of the box. There is some sexual scenes in this book, mainly at the start. The story is very descriptive with details. You are never lost for what is happening in the book. I like how it is carefully detailed to make it move very smoothly without making the book dull.


If you are looking for a great thriller/suspense book or your favorite genre of book you certainly need to add this to the must read list. Handheld Magnifier Review

This is a set of 3 magnifying lens that attach to a handle. It offers lighting for your reading area. This is much like the old wand magnifying glasses. It is about 6 inches in total length with the larger lens attached. Upon orderting this set it came with the 3 lens and the handle.


To start with the magnification of the 3 lenses are 2.5x, 5x, and 16x. So this makes it very handy for the older folks with reading issues with vision because you can put which lens works best for your condition in place quick and easy. This can be used to look at jewlery when it comes to things like notes on the inside of ring bands.


Changing out the lenses is very simple. It has 2 tabs to depress on the sides of the handle. This releases the lens and you gently pull the lens out. Now you can click in the lens you need for your project at hand. Now there are 2 LED lights on the bottom side of the handle. These are turned on/off with a push switch on the top of the handle. The hardest part of this entire unit was putting the batteries in. It is a simple concept but the batteries are so sloppy in the handle. If you can get the batteries to stay in place long enough to get the battery cover back on, it locks the batteries in place very snuggly.

Silicone Ice Cube Tray (Twin Pack) Review

This is a cool pair of silicone ice trays. They are very easy to use, take care of, and clean. They are food grade quality silicone. My set came with one blue and one green ice cube tray.


I like the silicone ice cube trays in general. You do have to take care and not leave the ice in the trays for to long of a film will build on top of the ice. The film is harmless but very annoying. I have a bowl I put my ice in once it is frozen and refill my trays and use the process. Another thing that I did when I first got my set of trays was boil them for about 10 minutes two times in fresh pans of water. I do not notice ice film after doing this unless the cubes have been in the freezer longer then a week.


These are silicone so there unlimited uses for these trays. They can be used to make sliders, jello shots, pop cycles, or even in a microwave making a brownie mix in small cubes. The ice cubes are very easy to remove from the trays as well. My mother can pop them out even when her hands are really hurting her. Unlike the 2 inch cubes trays I have which she can barely get out when she is in prime form for her age.


If you are looking for a nice set of silicone trays with many uses I consider checking these out. They are easy to take care, decent quality, easy to get the ice cubes out of the trays, and will last for a very long time.
