BX-550 USB Bike Light Review

This is another remarkable light from Stupidbright.com It is designed to mount on a bicycle or something about the same size as the handle bars of a bike. I have mounted this to a walker for my friend so he can see to get around the house at night much easier. Upon ordering this light it comes with a rechargeable battery, mounting clip, USB to micro USB cable, and an instructions manual.

Okay to start with this light is very bright. I am able to light up hundreds of feet in front of me on the brightest setting. There are 4 light settings of high, medium, light, and strobe. There is a power button on the top of the light that you press to go through the different levels of light. It starts out on bright when you press to turn the light on for the first time. Pressing the button a second time will take you to medium setting. Pressing the the button a thrid time put the light on low level setting. Pressing the button one last time will put it on the strobe setting. To turn the light off you have to press and hold the button for 3 seconds to power the light down.

The mounting of this light is by far the easiest I have seen from this type of mount. It is a click type round strap. This is the one thing I do not like about this light because to me this looks like it is made with out a lot of thought to durability. Once you have this clamp in place there is a black pad that the light slides on and can look to the clamp. That is all there is to mounting this light.

This light also comes wiht an IP65 rating. This means: Protected from total dust ingress and Protected from low pressure water jets from any direction. The rating makes it safe to use in the rain incase you are caught in a rain storm on your bike. Being air tight also prevents a lot of damage some lights like this do not offer. With the build of this light there comes a 2 year warranty on normal wear and tear of the light. This does not cover you running over the light with your truck and claiming it as a faulty item.

For recharing the light you will need to use a micro USB cable and plug it into a powered USB port. I was able to charge this light from my laptop, desktop, back up battery pack, 110w adapter, and my lighter plug adapter in my vehicle. It takes any where from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the USB port you are charging from. 110W adapater was the fastest and the lighter plug in my vehicle was the slowest. Depending on the level of light you are using will determine the battery length. On the high setting and strobe it will last about 3 hours. On medium and low it will last 4 to 7 hours.

If you are looking for a very bright light that mounts really easy this is one you may want to consider. This light is stupid bright on the high settings, made to be durable, water resistant, and rechargeable. I would like to thank stupidbright.com for sending me this light try out and share my opinion.

Men's Quartz Watch Review

The company that makes this watch call it a business casual watch. I find it more of a sports type of watch since most business casual watches have some form of metal band typically where this one has a leather band. This is a large face watch with an interesting design. This watch is black with red high lights throug out the watch.

The face of the watch has most of the letters in the red high lights. The 6 and 12 are hollow with a red pad underneath fo the high lights. The 3 and 9 have no numbers or high lights to them and are only a slot on each side. On the face there are displays for the day of the week and the day of the month. The hands of the watch also include all 3 hour, minute, and second hands. The tips of the hour and minute hands are high lighted with a dab of red as well.

The band of this watch is leather and stitched in red thread. I was very impressed with the thickness of the band. The band is a good 1/4 inch thick about twice what I am used to seeing out of these budget watches in thickness. The buckle of the watch is also metal unlike most budget watches being plastic.

When it comes to features this watch does not have many though. It is water resistant to 30 meters. This is not a watch for swimming or showering as described on the web page. This kind of makes me leary on the water resistance they claim. Since most people do now swim and shower below 30 meters. The watch offers a stainless steel back and an alloy housing for more durability.

If you are looking for a decent watch at a budget price this is one you may want to consider. It offers a thick band, good build for durability, and has an interesting design. I would like to thank The Revolt Electric City and affiliates for sending me this watch to try out and share my opinion.

Travel Umbrella Review

This is a compact design and very lightweight for an umbrellas. The umbrella is also very well built it seems for great durability. This umbrella has a curved handle making it really easy to hang almost anywhere. Currently the umbrella is only available in black with white stitching on the handle.

The umbrella is very light at a little less than a pound. Making it very easy to carry and store. The total length of the umbrella when it is about a foot when it is in storage mode. I am able to place this umbrella in my glove box for easy access as I am leaving the vehicle. The handle of the umbrella is very nice because I can hang it on a door handle, coat rack, in a closet, or any thing else that is a couple of inches in diameter. Also with the umbrella handle I can hang it on my wrist if I am in need of both of my hands.

Coverage of the umbrella is great for an individual user. When it is expanded it is about 3 1/2 feet across. The umbrella also dome has also been sprayed with a water repellant. This works much like hunting jackets with the coating. It keeps the umbrella from soaking in water unless you leave in a tub of water for a few weeks. This makes the water bead and run off the top of the dome.

The umbrella has a click button for opening and closing the umbrella. To expand the umbrella make sure you have the dome strap released. Then you press the silver button that says open/close. This will expand the rod and open the dome in one motion. Now to put the umbrella away you hit the close button again. This will release the dome rods. However it does not bring in the upright rod. You will still have to grab and pull the rod into position. From there attach the dome strap around the umbrella dome. Now to the only part of this umbrella I do not get, why this strap is a bright blue? I think it would have been much better as a black strap to match the dome better.

If you are looking for a really good umbrella this is one to consider for sure. It offers quick easy opening, water repellant, a curved handle, and is built to last for a long time. I would like to thank AOG Design and affiliates for sending me this umbrella to try out and share my opinion.

Coccyx Cushion Review

To start with these cushions are awesome. They are designed to remove pressure from your Coccyx and spine while setting. This one also comes with an added feature over most of the others on the market with a heated cushion option. The cover for this cushion only comes in blue for now from what I can see.

The entire object of this cushion is to make it easier on people who have to sit for extended periods of time. This is accomplished with the design of the cushion. The cushion is shaped like a U. Now how this works is you place the U side of the cushion to the back of the chair. Now you have a seat making sure that your tailbone is lined up with the U area of the cushion where there is actually no cushion. This now makes your body weight sit on the back of your legs.

Now this cushion has an added feature. This is a heating option. The heater works from a USB cable. This can be powered from a USB port on your laptop, desktop, 110w adapter, and it did work from my back up battery pack. The heat of the seat is for the most part only warm. This does work well if your legs are sore from exercise or if you are like a friend of mine "always cold" it does help. Now if you are using the heating option it is very simple to make sure the cord is out of the way. All you have to do is unzip the cover a bit and stuff the cord inside the cover. Then you zip the cover closed and the cord is up, away, and safe from snag damage.

This style of cushion is made from memory foam. This means after you have finished sitting on the cushion it will return to its normal form. The foam will also form to the curves of your body for a more comfortable sit for long durations.

If you are a person that has back issues, headaches, tailbone issues, or sit for extended periods of time this is a great cushion to consider picking up. It provides reduced pressure from along the spine, made from memory foam, and this one has the added ability of heating. I would like to thank SYNC Services and affiliates for sending me this Coccyx cushion to try out and share my opinion.

Ice Bag Review

This is a 9 inch reusable bag. The bag is a soft side bag that transfers the contents to the users surface very nicely. The bag comes blue in color with a white twist off lid.

The bag is capable of being used as a hot or cold pack. To use it as a cold pack I put in a good amount of ice in the bag. Once I get the bag packed about 1/2 full of ice I then add tap water to the bag to about 85% capacity. This makes it the bag still soft enough to wrap around the injured/sore areas. Now for hot I typically put a couple cups of water in the microwave and heat it up. Once it is heated up I pour it into the bag and it becomes a great hot pack.

When I have finished using my ice bag I take care of my bag in a manner I found to work. I drain the bag by twisting off the cap/lid. Then I make sure to stand it up on end with the opening facing down in my dish rack. I then pull the bag up to a cone shape so it can drain and dry out all the way. Then once it is dry I put the cap back on the bag and store it for the next use.

If you are looking for a great ice bag this is one to consider. They are reuseable, easy to take care, and works for a hot or cold pack. I would like to thank Red puppet and affiliates for sending me this ice bag to try out and share my opinion.
