Grill Mat Review

This is a set of 3 non-stick grill mats from WonderGrill. These mats are approximately 12x16 inches in size. The mats are very easy to customize to your desired needs. It is possible to use these mats on a great deal of meats, vegetables, and even fruits.


To begin with the non-stick surface of these mats. It is for the most part a very non-stick surface. If you do cover your meats with a ton of BBQ sauce it will pool on the mat. This will cause the sauce to burn sticking to the mat and the meat. It does stick, but it is removed very easily. I have found that If you take a hole punch and make a drain hole every couple of inches to prevent the pooling. I have found that it is best to use no sauce or use a basting brush to add a thin coat to the outside of your meat.


Next we go on the stuff that can be cooked on this mat. So far I have tried out pork chops, steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, hams, ribs, assorted fruits, vegetables, and seafood. It all works very nicely on my grill mats with little or no problems. The mats do however prevent marking on the meats a great deal. So if this is something you look for in your cooking process then the mats might disappoint.


When it comes to clean up I have found it works best while the mats are still warm. I have a pair of silicone gloves which makes it possible for me to grab it directly off the hot grill. From there I use my hose outside to spray off the mat. This get rid of about 95% of the pieces that might have stuck and the soot. From there I go in the house and clean in the sink in warm soapy water. If you do not have stainless steel sinks in your house I do not recommend cleaning the mats inside because the soot can be a real pain to deal with.


If you are looking for a helper on the grill to improve the surface to prevent sticking these are the type of mats you should consider. They work with meats, vegetables, and fruits all the same with out any problems. The mats are easy to care and clean. Safety Ear Muffs Review

This is a set of ear muffs designed to reduce the amount of incoming noise. The set is a Fnova Pro. safety ear muffs. These ear muffs are compact for what they accomplish. They currently come in 4 color bands for the muffs: black, blue, red, and yellow.


After some research I was able to find out how the measurement works for noise reduction. There was a given forula of N-7/2. This means the 34-7/2= 14. Well this is not my first set of ear muffs and I do believe in this formula in 90% of the ear muffs I have had in the past. However with these ear muffs they seem to be a great deal better at reducing noise. I have an old set of 29NRR ear muffs. I can have them on and a person sitting across the room can talk to me and I can hear every word with a slight muffle. With this set of Fnova ear muffs I can not hear one word at all from the same person and circumstances.


I have used ear muffs now for a few years because I have a headache full time, all the time. These ear muffs help me a lot when my headache is spiking. Yes this set of ear muffs do press in on the side of my head, it is a fair trade for the noise they block out. This set of ear muffs will fit very snug on the side of the users head so be warned about that. They are adjustable for almost any user from children to adult.


Now the ear pads are some what ridgid. This way they will be able to hold their form longer. Even though they are a bit rigid the flat area that touches the side of the head are actually comfortable. I have had zero issues getting the muffs to cover my entire ear. I do have large ears.


These ear muffs have many little features that can be very handy. For one they can be attached to the inside of a hard hat. Most hard hats have an area where the band can attach to ear muffs. Next the ear muffs can be condensed down to a small size. Making them easy to store in a glove box or similar area. These are small enough to throw up on the dash board but that will destroy them from the heat exposure.


If you are looking for a very good set of ear muffs this is a set you really should pick up. These ear muffs great sound reduction, noise canceling, comfortable pads, and compact. Flashlight Review

This is a flashlight from Byblight model F11-T Deluxe. Upon ordering this light it comes with a lanyard, solar keychain, 2 rechargeable batteries, a charging port, and of course the flashlight.


To start with this flashlight is made from an aluminum alloy. This makes the flashlight very durable for the instances of accidental dropping. The alloy also helps prevent rusting when or if the light comes in contact with water.


This light comes with a water resistance rating of IP65. Which means: Protected from total dust ingress and protected from low pressure water jets from any direction. What this means you can actually use this flashlight while it is raining and not have to worry about it being ruined.


Now when it comes to the torch. It says it can produce up to 1200 lumens. I have no actual way to test the lumens of the light other then I can see about 100 feet really easy with this light. There are 5 total settings for the light. There is high, medium, low, fast strobe, slow strobe for settings. There is also the ability to telescope the torch to constrict the light making it more focused and brighter at the fixed point.


It is very simple to go through the light progressions. Pressing the power button on the bottom of the light the first time engages the high setting. Pressing again turns off the light and doing this after each change in the light powers the torch off. Next press brings the medium setting. Then the next light setting is the lowest light setting. Pressing yet again to power the light puts the light in fast strobe mode. Pressing the button to power the torch puts the light into the slow strobe mode.


Next the batteries, charging station, and charging. This light comes with 2 Li-ion 26650 3.7v-g rechargeable batteries. These have the capacity of about 3000Mah. Included in this kit is a USB charging port for these batteries. This works for charging the batteries from any powered USB port. I was able to charge these batteries from my laptop, desktop, and 110w adapter. Now it takes a couple of hours to get a decent charge into these batteries. The charging does go a little bit faster when using the 110w adapter.


The battery life all depends on the light modes you are running. If you are running it on the high setting full time the battery will lose charge much faster then on low setting. I noticed I get a few hours of use out of the flashlight on the medium setting. This is usually more than enough for any project I am needing light.


The other 2 items included in the box are the lanyard and the solar key chain. The lanyard is nice but not big enough for my arms. It takes stretching it to max to be able to get it around my hand. Yes, I do have big hands so take that into consideration. Next is the solar key chain. This is a press and hold button to turn the lights on. These lights are 3 LED lights that are actually very bright. It is more then enough to light up a doorway to put a key in the lock.


Lastly going back on the build of this flashlight and the aluminum alloy casing. If you are carrying this while out on a late night walk or something along those lines this flashlight can be used as a self defense tool. It is strong enough to take some thrust into your attacker and not break apart in your hand. I know this is not the intended purpose of the light but it is a very nice side effect.


I have had mine for a couple of months now and have yet to have any issues at all with the light. If you are in the market for a nice flashlight this is one you should consider. It is made for durability, water resistant, multiple light modes, a very easy to use charging station, and with batteries which is very rare. CANDLOVE Mason Jar Candle Review

These are 16 ounce candles made from soy. This company has about 70 different flavors to choose from. These include floral, food, aromatic, novelty, fruity, funny, and specialty for categories when shopping. The company also offers free shipping on all orders over 25 dollars.


I was sent 6 candles to test out and share my opinion. This included the flavors of:
Alpine Frost
Fresh Leather
Cinnamon % Vanilla
Butt Naked
Honeysuckle Jasmine
Fresh Squeezed Oranges


To start with the candle burn life has to be a first consideration. I know it is the first thing I look for in a candle. The longer it burns the better as long as it can keep the aroma. With these candles you can expect about a 40 to 45 hour burn life from start to finish in a single burn session.


Much like every soy candle I have ever burned these candles hold true. They never have a strong aroma but a subtle lingering affect. This is great unless you are attempting to use them to mask some odd odor. Most of the time these candles are good for a small bedroom otherwise the scent in lost in a large room. I personally burn my candles on the stove top. This way if something does go wrong with the candle it does not burn the house down.


I will start with the Alpine Frost candle. This is a candle that smells like one of the tree car air fresheners. The best thing about this is it is a low key aroma that does not give you the feeling of eatting an evergreen tree when you walk in the room. This will only keep up with a small bedroom. My room is 22 x 17 and that was at the brink of the max area this candle could cover.


Now onto the Fresh Leather candle. I really like the name of this candle and the smell is certainlly that of leather. The bad thing to this candle is the aroma is so week that you can not smell it more then about 5 feet from the candle.


Next is the Cinnamon and Vanilla candle. Cinnamon was the one flavor that I asked them to not include in my sample set. For some reason I can not tolerate the cinnamon flavor of a candle when it is burning. I begin coughing, chocking, and struggle to breath while a cinnamon candles is burning. This candle was no different on the results of burning anywhere near me. However knowing this was a likely outcome the candle had the capacity to take care of a small room.


Okay we are to the Butt Naked flavor. I think this is a funny name for a candle to begin with. However the scent is very pleasant while it is burning to my surprise. This candles aromra is a area. It would work great in a small home office or den no larger then about 15 x 15. This way it will maintain a good coverage area of an enjoyable aroma.


Onto the Honeysuckle Jasmine candle. I really like honeysuckle but I am not a big fan of jasmine. Thankfully the honeysuckle seems to be the more concentrated scent and the jasmine taking a back seat. The jasmine is more evident as you get closer to the candle. This candle is again great for a small room for the better coverage of aroma.


Lastly we get to the Fresh Squeezed Oranges candle. If citrus smells are your thing this is a great candle. Citrus is not my favorite smells for candles but I have no real problems with citrus. This candle does not offer a powerful orange smell. My first thought was going to be a room that had the smell of liquid orange cleaning spray. That smell does not come into affect unless you are within a few feet of the candle being burnt. This candle is another that is good for a small home office or den.

If you are looking for some good candles to burn around the house these are some you should consider. They offer a good burn life, made from 100% soy, comes in about 70 flavors, and come in reusable mason jars. KooPower Watch Review

This is a decent sports watch to say the least. It offers a lot of different functions great for an active life. The watch can also be worn as a daily wear for those not in a business field. Since it does look fully like a sports watch and has no business design. Currently the watch comes black in color including the band.


For the sport features they include a stop watch that can hold up to 20 separate previous attempts. There is a thermometer and barometer to help decide the day. I know depending on these readings on how much water, a poncho, or sun tan lotion. There is also an Altimeter on this watch that I really have no use for since I do not climb but it is there for those in this sport.
The band is built to withstand some abuse as well. The strap is about 2x thicker then most you see on the market or at your local big box store. There are also covers on the inside of the band at the pins to help with snags and the band breaking easily.


The watch also offers a decent water resistance. The rating says it is good up to about 120 feet or there about. This I believe to be an actual water rating since it does not have a disclaimer like most watches. Most watches say water resistant as long as you do not use it in water!
Now I have had this watch now for a couple of months and I have yet to have any issues. Usually a watch will only last me about 2 months before they get all weird from the electricity in my arms frying them.


The watch functions can put you at a lose if you do not read the instructions. There is really nothing very difficult with using the watch. It is a matter of learning the button clicks to get to the features you are needing. This is mostly with learning how to use the meters, and weather forecasting abilities of the watch.


This is a watch built in China from the Shenzhen Spovan Technology Ltd. Model no: Blade IV. This watch does you a common CR2025 battery that can be found at almost any big box store. If you are looking for a really decent sports watch this is one I can recommend picking up. It offers a very sturdy design/build, a ton of great features, and seems to hold up to the electric going through my body. Torch Lighter Review

This appears to be a really good torch lighter. It will work great for starting grills, lighting a cigar, or most other needs for setting on fire. The torch is very strong and does hold up to a strong wind. So far I have had this for about a month and it has had zero issues to date.


To start with torch is a 2 barrel torch. It produces 2 seperate torch flames to create on larger flame. I put this to the test on how it would do against strong winds. I took my upright fan and turned it to the highest speed. I then lit the torch about 3 inches from the fan. The torch did stay lit the entire time while it was hiting it from the back or the sides.  If I turned the torch directly towards the high winds it would go out. Remember this is 3 inches from a fan on high speed. I was impressed that it was able to withstand the winds from the sides at this volume and not go out.


Now for filling this lighter. It can not be much more simple. The lighter housing is see through so you can tell how full you have the chamber. To fill you simply get a butane lighter  refueling can and press the nozzle into the base of the lighter until the chamber is full. It does not get any more simple.
To adjust the flame on the base around the filling port you will find this adjustment. It took me a bit to see this working. Once I noticed there was a D-Ring looking flip handle around the filling point it became very clear. All you do is flip the D-Ring up and twist it left or right to set your torch level.


If you are in the market for a lighter this is one that will get the job done. I have had success with this lighting my candles, grill, and incents. It has a comfortable grip design, stays lit in high winds, and very easy to refill.
