Stainless Steel Cups Review

These are 16 oz. cups (pint). They are made from 18/8 stainless steel which means no BPA or toxins. Since they are stainless steel they are very easy to clean and maintain.

These cups are very durable. They can be dropped over and over without them breaking. They can be banged up against in travel packs with out issues. The cups are electropolished which after some research means added protection against rusting. With these cups being so durable they are great for kids during their dropsie phase of life. They are great to have in your back pack for hiking or camping.

Now the cups are made from steel. So you can use it for hot or cold drinks. The glass will transfer the inside temperature to the outside holding surface of the cup. So beware if you are drinking something really hot, you will need to have some form of insulater sleeve to keep from burning your hands. If you are drinking something that is chilled or over ice it will make the outside of the cup cold and it will sweat. If you plan to use these cups outside you will need to make sure and have them in the shade because if they are in the direct sulight they get really hot to the touch.

When it comes to cleaning these cups it is super easy to do. They are stainless steel so nothing really sticks to the surface for the most part. Simple soap and water will get them clean. They are also dishwasher safe if you have that as an option.

If you are looking for some cups that will survive a beating for many years that does not transfer any toxins these are what you might be after. I think they are best for those kids that like to take cups outside and drink from and forget since they can take so much abuse without ruining the cups. I would like to thank Commerce Solutions and its affiliates for sending me a pair of these stainless steel cups to try out and share my opinion.

Automatic Soap Dispenser Review

This is a nice addition to any wash room. It comes with the dispenser, mounting plate, screws, and instructions manual. The unit is easy to install and setup.

I have mine set up on my bathroom sink. To this day I have had no issues with the dispenser. I have not had to replace the batteries yet, and it has been just over a month since I started using it. The dispenser is pretty easy to fill. There is a slide off cap on the top with some directional arrows letting you know which way to slide it. Then there is a twist off cap sort of like a bottle of soda. The area to fill the soap in does not have an overly large inlet, but if you are careful it should not be a problem. Personally I use a small funnel to fill it so I do not make a mess. Once it is filled put the cap back on it and the slide plate and it is ready to use.

Now to install this unit you have a couple of choices. The mount that is provided can be used as a base mount or you can use the raised edge to mount it to the wall. I have not done either of these with my unit yet. I really do not want to make any extra holes so I keep it to the back of the sink area so it does not get knocked off and broken. The hardest part of this entire dispenser is getting the bottom plate off once you lock it in place to the dispenser. It can be a pain but with that in mind it makes it much more secure incases of the little nudges.

To get to the area to install the batteries you have to remove the bottom plate. This is the one design of the unit I do not like. I would much rather have seen an access panel on the back of the unit to change out the batteries.

If you are looking for a hands free soap dispenser that is great for your bathroom sinks, kitchen sinks, or even out in the shop. This is a great product to consider for sure since it is quick to install and easy to refill. I would like to thank Ohuhu for sending me this soap dispenser to try out and share my opinion.

Paperweight Magnifying Glass Review

This is a half moon magnifying glass. They call it a dome in their description! It has a fair amount of weight to it, making it a decent paper weight. It is also great for anyone that has vision problems or failing vision.

This is a smooth glass dome that will glide across the top of paper easy. It does increase the size of the words and numbers by about 3x in this dome. I thought it would be difficult to pick up and move since it is a smooth glass surface. I have had no issues with it being difficult to pick up because of the surface.

Next this has enough weight that if your office window is opened and a breeze swoops in on you. This paper weight will keep the papers on your desk in place thankfully.
I have noticed with this paper weight magnifying glass that as you are moving along the paper to read it seems to catch some of the room light. Making it a bit more visible and clear when you are reading. This glass is perfect for those contracts that have super small print at the bottom.

If you are looking for a nice paper weight or a magnifying glass to help with small print I recommend checking out this glass. I would like to thank Jacarte and affiliates for sending me this magnifying glass to try out and share my opinion.

QI Wireless Charger Review

This is a charging port for Qi compatible systems. The model number for this unit I have is called a Q8. It is available in black or white. It came with the charger, instructions manual, and a USB to micro USB charging cable. The unit is very light weight, compact, and portable.

First and foremost, make sure that what you are wanting to charge is QI compatible. This is not a perfect science sadly. Your unit may be QI compatible but there is still a small chance that it will not work with this unit. All wireless chargers regardless of brand or type can have this issue. I have 3 devices that are QI compatible in my house, 2 tablets and 1 cell phone. The 2 tablets work with this charger without any issues at all. Sadly my cell phone does not respond to this wireless charger.

The charger is super easy to hook up. All it requires is a wall mount USB charging port to plug into. Which is not included with this charger making me a sad panda. Glad I had one that came with my cell phone. Once you have it plugged into the light socket you attach the mirco USB end into the charging pad. The unit also has 2 USB ports that you can hook cables to for charging as well. This works out well for me since I am using my phone socket charger for the wireless charger.

When you get this unit you will need to read through the instructions manual fully so you can understand the lights and how it is supposed to work. It also gives possible reasons that may not work with your device. Things like the housing being to thick for the current to travel through to charge. If you think this maybe the case with why your device is not responding to this charger, you can simply remove the back and set the device on it and see if it responds to the charger.

If you are looking for a nice Qi compatible wireless charger then this is a charging pad you should consider. With it being wireless it takes away a lot of the damage to the micro USB charging slots on your devices from being constantly plugged and unplugged. Not to mention it saves a few seconds when heading out because there is no charging cable to fight with. I would like to thank Ocheetech and affiliates for sending me this QI wireless charger to try out and share my opinion.

Car Seat Back Protector Review

This product comes as a set of two. They are designed to help protect the back side of your car seats. They are easy to install and work great. They only come in black from all the looking around I have done. Was hoping to find more colored ones to get it closer to the interior color of my car.

The entire idea behind this product is great. If you have or have had small children that ride in a car seat you will quickly understand how great these mats are. Car seats put children close enough to the back of my front seats that allows them to kick the back of the seat. Usually this is not a bad thing but if you are having one of those rainy days and a child that likes to find mud puddles these mats are huge! They will protect the back of your seats from moisture and stains that might accompany from the child and weather.

Pros:
Super easy to install
Large enough to cover almost any seat back
Water Resistant
Comes with a Lifetime guarantee

Cons:
The stitching on the straps give fairly easy if the top of a shoe hooks the mat while getting in the car.

These mats being water resistant is great because it will sheild the back of the seat from getting wet in most cases. The mats being water resistant makes them super easy to clean up. I take a couple of paper towels and get them damp. From there I do a light scrub and the mats clean up nicely and my seat is not wet and still clean.
If you are looking for a good way to protect the back of you seats from stains and moisture then these kick mats are what you are looking for. Not to mention it is hard to pass up a lifetime guarantee they offer with these mats for the protection they offer. I would like to thank Top Choice and affiliates for sending me these car kick mats to try out and share my opinion.

Large Cubed Ice Cube Trays Review

These are a pair of food grade silicone ice cube trays. They are 2 inch cubes so they are fairly large. Each tray has a capacity of 8 cubes. These trays come in white, black, and sky blue like I have.

These ice trays can be used for a lot more then ice cubes. You can make Kool-aid blocks out of them or some jello cubes if you want. When you add the liquid to the trays, the first thing you think is that it is going to fold over and spill all over the place. This does not happen and it holds its form perfectly.

Since these are large cubes they do take a bit longer to freeze solid over the standard ice cube tray. Once they are froze solid they last for a very long time before melting away. If you put them in an insulated cup they last the biggest part of the day. The only thing that takes a little bit to figure out is how to quickly and easily remove the ice from the trays. To start with crack in back and forth like a normal tray. Next from the bottom of the tray push up on the ice cube and roll it to the outside edge. From there grab the cube and put it in your glass or if it is a flavor pop enjoy.

If my ice cube trays are in need of cleaning I typically run some hot water and use a dab of dish soap and then rinse it completely clean and set in my dish drainer to dry. Since they are silicone, I am pretty sure they are dishwasher safe if you want to go that route on cleaning them.

If you are in the market for some very large ice cube tray to use for coffee pop, jello shots, juice pops, or just old fashioned ice silicone trays are always a great product to consider. I would like to thank Barrett Global Corp. and affiliates for sending me these IceBlox ice trays to try out and share my opinion.

Godzilla Slippers Review

These house slippers resemble Godzilla for the most part. They will fit most peoples foot up to mens size 12. They are very soft and plush when foot is wrap in them.

These are house slippers, they are not designed to run around town in. The slippers are not built to take that abuse. These are in house or maybe out on the porch or deck. The slippers have a padding on the bottom that is about 1 inch thick to walk on. This will help protect your feet from the lego land mines. The very bottom of the padding has a rippeled cloth coating so they are not slippery on non carpeted floors.

The slippers do fit my feet and I wear a size 11 mens. When you first get up to start walking and you have had your feet up, the back of the heel most of the time is off the back of the padding. Therefore it is a quick adjust and no more issues from there.
I have not worn my slippers much since it is summer. These slippers have a pretty think outside shell that make my feet to hot for summer. I am looking forward to them this winter. I know that the white parts of the slippers do glow in the dark. I get the spines on the back and the eyes, but Godzilla teeth never started glowing in any show I have seen it in. It was always the spines on his back and about 1/2 the movies his eyes did glow.

If you are looking for a party favor to start some conversations, or a good pair of house slippers to keep your piggy's toasty this slippers are a great product to consider. I would like to thank Toy Vault and affiliates for sending me these slippers to try out and share my opinion.

Mini Bluetooth speaker Review

The speaker I have is a rectangular form. It is about 4 inches wide, 2 inches tall, and about 1 1/2 inches in depth. Items included with this unit include the speaker, instructions manual, 3.5 mm wire plug, and a micro USB to USB charger.

The speaker weights about a pound which makes it very transportable. It will fit in most jacket pockets, diaper bags, purses, or other small totes since it is small. On the back of the speaker has your on/off switch, a port for a micro SD card, charging port(micro USB), and a 3.5 mm jack so you can hook it directly to your unit if you do not want to use bluetooth or do not have that option. The top of the unit has 4 buttons that control things like skipping/backing up a track and volume control.

I have paired this unit with my phone and tablet both. It had no problem locating and setting up. It took about 10 seconds total time to get it paired. I also use the 3.5mm cable they sent me and plugged in direct to the unit to test that out. Worked as intended with out fail. The only issue I had with the controls of this unit was it did not like cotrolling the volume on my tablet only.

When it comes to charging this unit I had no problems at all. I used many different charging methods on this unit. I use my direct to wall socket USB charger, I attached it to my tower, my lap top, portable battery back up, and to my car charger. The first initial charge took about 1 1/2 hours for it to get to full. Since the initial charge it charges up quicker at about 35 minutes. A full charge seems to last about 7 hours with this unit.

When it come to the sound the speaker provides it does a pretty good job. It does offer the full range of sound from the speaker. However it is not a driving bass and if that is what you are looking for I am pretty sure it is not going to come in a portable speaker LOL. These speakers are made for listening to music not jamming out. It does offer enough sound at about 50% for me to be able to hear it through out most of the house. Which makes it great on the house cleaning days. I noticed that at about 80% a slight distortion started with the speaker sound. This is fine with me since I do not play it at that level other then to test this unit out.

If you are looking for an easy pairing, portable, and decent sounding speaker you may want to give this speaker a try. I would like to thank Adfilic and associates for sending me this speaker to try out and share my opinion.

Memory Foam Seat Cushion Review

This is a Coccyx Orthopedic memory foam seat cushion offered from
CushionCare. It is designed to relive pressure from the Coccyx(tailbone) when you are sitting.

To start with the foam cushion is formed in the shape of a U for the most part. The opening part of the U goes to the back of the seat where the tailbone is located when you sit down. It is actually comfortable to sit on padding. It can be a little awkward at first when you sit down and your tailbone is actually not making contact to the chair. That awkwardness quickly goes away once you find how much more comfortable it is to be sitting.

My cushion came with covering as well. Putting the cushion in the covering is a battle because it fits the cushion very snug. Once it is in though it a nice addition to the cushion. It also protects the cushion some from getting dirty as quick from dropped items on it. The cushion also has a carry handle on the side of it to make easy to transport. Since I have gotten mine I take it everywhere that I am going to be sitting for any length of time.

If you are looking for a great seat cushion to reduce the pressure of your tailbone, spine, and head this is a product you need to consider. It is great for people that have to sit for prolonged times like your secretary, guards, people in wheel chairs, and IT professionals. I Would like to thank CushionCare and affiliates for sending me this cushion to try out and share my opinion.

Rise K-Pods Review

Upon getting these in the mail, the box contained 12 pods in the box. These pods will work in the regular Keurig machines as well as the 2.0 dispensers. I was able to try out the light roast from what I was sent.

To start with these pods use less plastic in the manufacturing of them. They do not have a solid plastic bottom like regular k-cups. They only have a filter to drain the water through. In this aspect it is a very good thing because it reduces plastic wastes. The pods come in sealed bags of 6 to maintain their freshness. There are 2 bags per box.

The coffee has a very nice aroma that will fill your house with the smell of fresh coffee. The first cup I brewed actually woke everyone up in the house because it smelled so good! The light blend that I have is not a strong coffee. It tastes much like I-Hop coffee to me. It does not have a strong bitter taste to it, which really makes me like it even more. I add a dab of my caramel flavoring and I am set, nothing else required.

When it comes to these pods they are in the price bracket of the Green Mountain Coffees. So they are not overly expensive for a great cup of coffee. If you are looking for a great brand of coffee pods to try out, I suggest giving these pods a try. I would like to thank Greater Goods and affiliates for sending me these pods to try out and share my opinion.

Bamboo Matcha Spoon and Whisk Set Review

When ordering this set you get the whisk that also has a small plastic container to keep it in, the bamboo spoon, and a small burlap bag to keep all the pieces together. This is a whisk set designed to be used in making ceremonial green teas or any other powdered type teas.

This is my first bamboo whisk and spoon set. I can not help but to think about the sceen in one of the Karate kid movies where they are setting there doing a tea drinking ceremony as a major storm in moving in. The spoon is not your normal every day spoon, it is actually a hooked piece of bamboo with out a cupping in it to hold the powder. You can easily fix the tea to your tastes by how many scoops you make with this spoon. The whisk is a some what formed whisk with little motion in the bristles. It does work well to mix your tea and create a froth at the same time.

Since they are bamboo they are super simple to clean up. All that is required is running some hot water over them until clean. Once clean you can set them to dry. This does not take long either since it is bamboo. Then place your whisk back in the plastic tube provided to protect the bristles.

If you are looking for a traditional way to mix your powdered teas, this is a nice set to consider. I would like to thank Cornucopia Brands and its affiliates for sending me this set to try out and share my opinion.

Ceramic Chef's Knife 8 Inch Review

This is my first Ceramic knife. I am actually very impressed with how well it performs. It is very sharp, lightweight, and holds it edge. The knife came in a flip top box that you can use to store it in if you have no safe place to keep it.

Well about 100 years ago when I was a teen, I worked in a country club kitchen. This is where I learned how to sharpen, how to cut, chop, and prepare meats with my knives. We had to purchase our own knives and take care of them. All my knives were bought as a single buy and I kept them in a roll out protector. With that being said, I have used this ceramic knife to cut onions, apples, and boneless meats. I have started to reach for this knife over the rest of the knives in my selection of knives.

Like any other knife if you abuse them they will lose their edge quickly. You should always use a cutting board for startes. Next try to avoid setting the knife down on the edge of the blade between uses, espcially on steel surfaces. Next thing is try to avoid cutting into the bones of meat because this can also effect the edge. Lastly, try not to cut into frozen foods because that is like cutting into a bone.

I have been using this knife now for a month now and it does not appear to be losing its edge at all. Keeping an edge is very important becuase you will cut yourself more often with a dull knife and usually much worse. It works that way because you are having to use more pressure with a dull knife to prepare your foods. I have not had to sharpen the knife yet since it has held its edge so well. I shapen my knives with a whet stone only because all of the electronic shapeners usually do more damage then good to an edge. The knife has a silicone handle which makes it a very comfortable fit while using the knife. It is also molded to the knife so you do not have to worry about the bolts in the handle holding left of food particles and possibly transferring harmful germs.

Features:
Sharpness -  advanced ceramic blade will retain its original sharpness up to 15 times longer than steel blades.
Purity - Rust-proof, will never brown foods, impervious to acids and oils, no metallic taste or smell. Advanced ceramic is a pure & healthy alternative.
Lightweight - Typically half the weight of metal-based knives, offers total ease of use with the most difficult cutting tasks. Ergonomic handles produce a well-balanced, highly controlled grip.
Easy to Clean - The fact that advanced ceramic does not absorb any food element, allows just a quick rinse and wipe with a kitchen towel.
8 Inch Chef Ceramic knife For slicing fruits, vegetables and boneless meats.

If you are in the market for a Great Chef Knife to add to your collection of knives, this ceramic knife is a must. It will work for the novice to professional cook when it comes to doing your prep work. I would like to thank VOS and affiliates for sending me this Chef Knife to try out and share my opinion.
