Foam Roller Review

When I seen the chance to try one of these rollers out, I jumped on it as quickly as possible. My nephew lifts weights in school and talks about rollers all the time. 538 years ago when I was lifting weights in school these did not exist so I did not know 100% what he was referring too.


This thing works so well before and after workouts to reduce stiffness and soreness. As you can see in the picture my nephew is rolling out his upper and lower legs both. I tried the roller my self and it is going to take some getting used too for sure but it was amazing how well it did to relieve some of the soreness from my lifting.


The roller is 2 feet long which makes it easy to use on the larger body areas like the back and legs. It is also about the size of a 5 inch pipe so you do not have to worry about your heels dragging the ground as you are rolling out your calves. The only down side I have seen to this Muscle Mauler Max is the tube the foam is wrapped around. It does give some as you put some of weight on it. It does not stop it from rolling but it does kind of oval it out under you. So I am not sure how long the center tube will hold up with taking that shape when you are rolling out your back, but the unit does come with a guarantee.

Extra Large Picnic Blanket Review

This is a rather large picnic blanket. The blanket measures 60" x 80" This makes it perfect for a couple looking to get lost for the afternoon and have a nice place to set up at. It folds up fairly compact and is very light weight.


This blanket folds up into about the size of a small handbag. It weights a little bit over one pound. This makes it so easy to take almost anywhere. Personally I have a picnic basket that I put this under the handle and off I go. Now as far as folding it up, it does not require any super folding skills. It may take a few times of working the folds to get it down. Once folded properly there is a Velcro strip that attaches it with a nice carry strap that makes it compact.


This blanket offers a waterproof cushioned backing that prevents you from getting wet from damp lawns or surfaces. It is a 100% soft cotton fleece which should not irritate your skin and will provide hours of comfort. So if you are in the market for a very nice picnic blanket this is the one for sure. Titan Elite Quarter High Socks Review

These are possibly the most comfortable socks I have ever put on. They are very soft and are a great fit to any foot. They are much like other compression material clothing. These are not actually rated as compression material that I have noticed anywhere but feels about the same when it comes to how it fits.


These socks offer extra padding in very crucial points through out the socks. These extra paddings include the heel, ball, and across the toes. All of the major impact areas while doing any sports activity that requires a lot of running. The rest of the areas of the socks are vented to offer more air flow to keep the feet cooler. This offers less sweeting which in turn makes your feet more stable in your shoes.


The improved venting also reduces foot odor as well. I remember the kids in the gym locker after a game that had the smelly feet. These socks could have easily prevented all of that misery on both of our parts.

Hand Grip Strengthener Exerciser Review

These are exactly as the title says. These are for working your hand strength and forearm strength. They are a little bit smaller then the normal hand grips which is nice for women. My mother has started using them since they actually fit in her hands.


These are great for people that are recovering from surgery or injury. Great for all of these conditions: Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Tendonitis, Carpal Tunnel, Tennis Elbow and Those Recovering From a Broken Wrist and Tendon Surgery. I know my father had to use similar hand grips after his surgery for Carpal Tunnel surgeries.


Sadly with these grips they have foam on the grips which will not take a ton of abuse. These will sadly not be a longer term hand grip set because of the foam grips. The spring has a fair amount of tension to it and has a simple metal strap to keep it in its form for being able to do the exercise.

This is a cuff designed to measure your blood pressure and pulse that attaches to the forearm instead of the upper arm like most. It is very small and light weight which makes it super easy to carry along. It is easy to use and put on for testing purposes.


For starters this monitor will show your Systolic, Diastolic, and Pulse. It will also provides advanced 5 level blood pressure classification and irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) indicator alert the user of any abnormality. Now lets go into the display. I am very impressed with the display screen that this unit has. It has a well lit blue backlit that makes the results of the test pop out at you. Being able to see these numbers clearly is an absolute must and this unit passes that with flying colors. The results are large as well making it easy for those that might be struggling with their vision in one form or another.


The cuff needs to be placed on the forearm properly or it will not give a good reading. It has to be placed about an inch from the base of the hand. The cuff attaches with some Velcro around the arm much like any other blood pressure cuff. Now make sure that the display is facing out from the underside of the arm. Next you tap the power button once on and it will power up and go straight into taking the reading.
Now for the results showing on the screen you should hold the monitor somewhat close to the heart with your arm relaxed. I have noticed that if you have your arm extended and away from your heart more it seems to be extremely inaccurate. My normal blood pressure runs between 120-130/74-88 from my doctor visits. With this extended from my arm it was reading at 212 and 227 over 130ish both times.


The unit also fits people that have larger arms then normal like mine. For me to use a normal blood pressure cuff I have to have an extra large cuff for my upper arm. With the wrist cuff I can use a standard size comfortably. Digital Kitchen Food Scale Review

This is a very sleek and easy to use food scale. It is a bit smaller then a standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper. It is very light and super easy to clean since it is a glass surface scale. It has a decent size digital read out for a little bit easier reading. This scale also has an automatic off after 2 minutes if the weight of the scale has not changed in that time to conserve the battery life.


This scale will weight objects up to 11 lbs. There are 4 different settings you can choose to measure in. These are kilogram, gram, ounce, and pounds. Having all of these choices makes it very useful in the kitchen when baking to get exact weights for the ingredients. It is also great for those out there that are trying to use portion control to take off a few pounds.


Using this scale is super easy. All that is needed to set it up and prepare it for use. On the first time using it and removing it from the box you have to remove that clear tag that is stopping the batteries from making contact. Once that is removed the unit can be powered up by hittng the on/off button. Now set it down on a nice flat surface and the scale will begin to zero out. If it does not go to exactly zero hold the on/off button for about a second. Then in a few seconds it will zero out completely for you. Do not touch it or hold your finger on the scale while it is zeroing out.


Now for clean up it is super easy. They say to use a damp cloth with no abrasive chemicals or acids. Since it is a glass surface scale you can use almost any glass cleaner type on it. The glass surface is fine getting wet. I would not submerge the unit in water because the batteries may get ruined and cause issues with the scale. Personally what I do is cover the scale with clear wrap so the juices from my meats do not actually hit the surface and I have less worries with cross contamination. Then I pull of the wrap and hit it with a squirt of Windex and it is good as new.


Now for the digital read out screen. There is a button on the right of it to set what you want to use for weighing. It will change inside the screen as you push the button to change. These are not overly large but you will be able to see them easily enough. As far as the actually read out for what you are measuring for it is much larger and super easy to make out. The directions say that it has a blue backlight. This however is false with my unit. At the bottom of the paper sent with the scale it reads: "Subject to technical changes due to further development of the product" My guess this is where my backlit dispaly went too.


If you are in the market for a decent quality scale at a resonable price for in the kitchen this is one you might take into consideration. Since it is easy to use, easy to clean, and can be adjusted to the measure you are needing. It also has a wall mount on the back that you can use a push pin to mount it for easy storage. Dangerous Bet (E-Book) Review

This was sent to me as an E-book by author Jack Gardner. It is a finacial thriller, mystery, and suspense. This is available for kindle and in paperback. It is kind of a short story with a little over 200 pages. It is published by CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform.


The book is not written the best and has a so-so plot. It comes across as a new writer that has self published thier own book with out any real input on errors. I believe this to be the case since the book publisher start date as a company and the date of the book being publihed are the same day.


The story bounces around a lot with out any direction and is confusing when you are trying to follow the plot. At the end it some what comes together to make some sense but it is a boring read to get to there. It does have a few spots that can be considered thrilling but they are few and far in between.


This being a free book was worth the read when I have absoluetly nothing else to do. I would have been upset if I would have paid for this book. It simply is not my genre of books to read and way to slow for me to be considered a thriller.

Gripsafe Silicone Gloves Review

To start with, AMAZING gloves. They are easy to put on and take off. They protect your hands from high temperatures. Can even be used in cleaning as needed.


I have used these gloves for cooking out, short notice pot holders, pulling things out of the oven, cleaning products that needed to be boiled for cleaning, and countless other ways. The cooking out part works great if your grill slips a little bit you can adjust it without burning your fingers. I forgot to put a pot holder out for my dish and I only had the one glove on but pulled both out so I set my hot pan on the other glove. I then moved it to a pot holder shortly after getting it out. I have used this to boil things like my clippers and pulled them directly from the boiling water with these gloves on to check and see how the cleaning process was going.


These gloves are full silicone and designed to be used to handle very hot or very cold items. They protect your hands great and prevent any damage to them. Since they are full silicone you can use them to pick things out of hot water. The gloves also come with a heart pattern on them for some reason and I did not even notice this until my daughter inlaw pointed it out. Being these gloves are full silicone they prevent a lot of slipage and increase your grip on whatever you are doing with them. These gloves are also rated up to 450 degrees.





Another use that I find might be of great use is in the fast food business or any business that uses any kind of friers. I do not know how well the gloves will hold up to grease directly but I remember cleaning out the fryers and burning my hands a few times where these gloves would have prevented such burns.


So if you are in the market for an AMAZING pair of silicone gloves you need to look no further. If you want them for handeling hot pans from the over, cleaning, or even as a pot holder this is the product to cover all of those tasks. This is not my first in car charger that I have owned. This however will most likely be the last brand I am likely to buy again. If is very compact in size, charges any thing that can be charged with a USB port, and lights up nicely when power is sent to it.
For starters the compact size makes it where I can plug it in my lighter plug and then close the lid and it does not hold the lid open. So I do not have to worry about someone actually pressing on the lid and breaking it like almost all the others on the market.


This car charger offers 2 USB port slots for charging. They are each labeled. The one on the bottom is the standard 1.0 charging slot and the one with the IQ lable is the 2.1 slot for a more boosted charging if needed. Inside the 2 usb slot there are lights that are on when it has power so you can easily attach it in the dark. There is also a lighted ring aroudn the top of the unit to also add a little more lighting to see when plugging in the dark. Most cars today do not have constant power to lighter plugs so they have to have the key turned on. This device will let you know if it has constant power or if the key has to be engaged for it to function. I know that on my boat that the lighter plugs are constant power all time when the battery is hooked up.




This charger will work with any lighter socket to charge devices. I have used the one in my truck, car, and boat without any problems. I have used it to charge my phone, tablet, bluetooth head phones, and many other bluetooth devices. This charger if you look at it where the tabs press in to make the connection are actually more then some thin strip of metal like most on the market. This also gives it a lot more duarbility and will last longer then other on the market. I hate the ones with those thin metal strips they usually only last a couple of times plugging in before they become useless and stop working.


The last feature that I like about this charger is the ribbed edge at the top of the unit. This makes it where you can actaully grip the unit and pull it out of the lighter socket without it slipping between your fingers.

Pirate's Code Movie Review

For starters this is a movie that is rated for all to view. It is 92 minutes long and presented by PureFlix. It is kind of a Captain Hook parody meets the mad scientist to fight off the good guys. If you can over look all of the hideous cleche  you will be set.


To me this is a movie for kids. As an adult I found it very lacking over all. It however does have a good story line to it about teaching the meaning of team work. It is for sure a B or maybe even a C class movie. This is simple to tell with how poorly the graphics are in the movie.


The movie does show lots of action through out the movie. It is simple to tell there was not a professional  stunt trainer. There is some science that can be found from this in respects to Tesla and EMP's versus electronics. The next thing is the special craft used in the movie. It is a cross between the Night Rider car Kitt and the Bat Plane in bat man.

The Imperium Saga: The Impending Storm Review

This is an intesting start to a set of books from Author Clifford B. Bowyer. This is an action, adventure, fantasy realm book. It has a very good plot line and flows smoothly through out the book. The book is quick to grab your attention and maintains control of you attention until the end.


Being that it is a fantasy genre of books it covers your monsters, magic, and intelligent creatures of all sorts. The book goes into "mages" as anyone that uses magic as a whole. For instance the wizards and necromancers are both classified as mages. It is also based off of 7 kingdoms knowns as the Imperium. To me this is a cheap knock off of Game of Thrones but that show is popular so anyone that is able to write full sentences will try to take advantage of the concept.


Now for the action and adventure parts of this book. These two categories start off with in the first couple of pages. The action/adventure holds true until the conclussion of this book. The best part of this whole book is how the author provides great detail in a short manner.  This makes it where it is not a grooling read of the boring surroundings.


If reading fantasy genre of books are something you enjoy that will hold your attention with great action/adventure, this is a great book to consider. Oven Mitt Barbecue Grilling Gloves Review

This is second pair of silicone gloves designed to handle high temperatures from Magnifeko. They are very large which is good since I have pretty big hands. Now for those that do not they could seem really big. It does not make any difference if your fingers go to the end, they will over lap like an old pot holder does. There is also a elastic band around where the wrists are to prevent them from stretching out and being so lose they fall off your hands.


I have used them to pull pans out of the over and hot dishes from the microwave. They have the silicone strips on them that give them a non slip gripping surface that makes them 100x better then the traditional pot holder. I have also used them to turn the meat on my grill and to put my grill mat on and arrange it on the grill without burning my fingers. I can see many other uses including taking out hot recently burned out light bulbs, handling hot fire place tools, or if you have some work outside that will require lifting metal pieces that have been out in the sun.


They are not designed to be water proof, so do not stick your  hand in a pan of boiling water and expect to not get burned. They are a cloth based mitt not a silicon based. The gloves are also easy to clean, all you have to do is toss them in the washing machine to clean them. You can use a dryer as well since they are heat resistant but I hang mine for drying.


If you are in the market for some gloves to have around the house for cooking in the kitchen, backyard, or used for hot objects these are great. They slip on easy and protect very well against burns. HydroMate 25oz Water Bottle Review

The 25oz HydroMate Stainless Steel Water Bottle by ChillWarmer. Is a high quality 304 stainless steel material, it is the same material used in the food, wine and beverage industry.  It is BPA-free so it will not leech or let dangerous toxins soak into the material.  It comes with 2 different lids that screw into the top of the canister very secure and leak proof.


Now for the 2 lids: One is a normal thermos type lid and the other is a sports bottle top. Now for the normal thermos lid it works a cork that you screw in and out and pour from the bottle or drink. The second is the sports bottle top. This is the only part I did not like about the water bottle. This lid lets the contents out very slowly if at all. It creates a suction inside the canister making it vapor lock and you have to actually suck the liquid out. Once you do start that process it begins to create a back suction into your mouth.


It comes with a large wide mouth opening making it perfect for pouring liquids and placing ice cubes into the bottle and double walled insulated helps keep temperatures in for up to 12 hours. The water bottle does great at keeping your liquids at your preferred temperature for an extended amount of time. The contents inside the canister do not affect the outside temperature. In other words if you put hot coffee in it, the canister on the outside does not get hot from the coffee being in it.


The other feature I am not happy with is the canister being made of metal. This makes it where if it is out in the sun the outside gets really hot to the touch. I think it would be great if they offered a silicone sleeve that is removable to stop this issue. I personally took two of my can koozy's and cut the bottom out of one and slide them onto the water bottle. This works great at making it possible to drink when I am out working in the sun with out burning my hands when I pick up the bottle.

When you pick up this food tray you will begin to only understand all of its uses. It comes with the tray, a clip on lid, and an e-book with some baby food Recipes.
Like every other silicone product it performs tasks over and over without fail. You can put hot food directly into the tray if you need and put it to the icebox or freezer. Since it is silicone the tray can withstand cold temperatures designed for freezing.


I have used it for Kool-aid mini pops, I have used it for pureed food, and simple ice cubes since I was having a lot of guests over. I do see it having other uses, for instance, back in my college days of jello shots. These sadly would have been perfect when those days were upon me. Another awesome use is for baking mini cupcakes in!


Since this is made of silicone it can be cleaned very easily. This includes being dishwasher safe. The tray also offers FDA Approved and BPA Free high quality food grade silicone. These are not so simple to attach if you have large hands though because the tabs are actually pretty small and get between the tray and the lid. Making it where you have to be able to fish them out. 6-IN-1 Stylus Pen Review

This is for sure a very interesting stylus pen. It has many functions that make it very unique and usable by anyone. It is not designed for only one purpose as a stylus. With all of its added features it is a great buy for the price.


First function is the stylus tip used for touchscreen devices. The rubber tip is a bit larger then I would expect from a normal stylus. It has a very soft rubber tip that will not damage your screens while using it. Since it is such a soft rubber though I do not see it lasting for years to come though. It is a great thing this has more options then that.
Next function is an ink pen. It has a twist out end at the point of the stylus. Then end of the ink pen also pulls out so you can refill the cartrage for the ink. The housing is in a pencil form a little bit larger then the standard no.2 pencil.


Then we move to the side of the pen. On the side it has 2 rulers. One is 4 inches, and the other is a 10 cm. scale. I do not know how long it would take for this to wear off but it seems to be engraved slightly into the housing to extend the life the the rulers.
The next feature on the side of the pen is a small bubble level. When I was working in HV/AC this stylus would have been ideal for the times I was mounting the thermostats on the wall. I could have eaisly had a small level to make sure I was installing it square.


The last 2 features are one in the same. The end cap where the stylus rubber pad is located screws off. This holds a set of 2 screwdriver heads. One flat head and one phillips head that flip out to change. These work great for all those small screws that require very small tips to get out or put in.

Shoeslulu Thin Cushioning Leather Insoles Review

These are designed for those that are on their feet a large portion of the day. They offer some comfort from impact as you are walking around. I know they are a huge help for me in the warehouse when I am traveling from one end to the other to fill orders. My knees, ankles, and muscles through out my legs are not as tired and sore.

These insoles are designed to fit the shoe very snug on the inside. This helps a great deal in not letting them slip around inside the shoe while you are in motion. If they were to slide around you would have some huge blisters by the end of the day. They also claim to reduce foot odor as well. This one I am not sure about since I do not have this issue because I take care of my feet.


These are not nearly as thick as most other insoles. I have tried the Dr. Scholls inserts and they are much thicker and can make your walk feel really awkward until you get used to them. These being so much thinner and the same thickness the whole length of the shoe makes it feel as though they are not even there. At first I thought they were made with dress shoes in mind since they are so thin and most dress shoes do not loosen up like running shoes. I have found these work well in my running shoes as well.

Shredded Memory Foam Pillow Review

This is a great pillow offered by Xtreme Comforts. At first when it came to me in the package it was rolled up in a tight roll. I was thinking "I sure hope it is not supposed to remember that position". Once you remove the wrapping from it the pillow will then go to form and look like a pillow. I picked up the standard size pillow to try out.


This pillow is designed with a bamboo shell to try to keep the pillow cool at all times. They call it Kool-Flow(tm). To me this only partially worked. If you have power surges as we call them, kind of like hot flashes, then this pillow does not make it any cooler and actually feels like it might be holding more heat to your head.


The pillow is raised a great deal in the center of the pillow where most keep their head. This can be a little uncomfortable if you are light headed and laying flat on your back. This makes it where the pillow does not give enough to make it a proper surface for some. If you are on your side though it will hold for great for sleeping because it is raised so much. Now for the bounce back part of the pillow for the memory foam part. I took my pillow and set it on the floor over in the corner and put my 16lb. bowling ball on it for a week. I did not remove it the entire week. After the week expired I removed the bowling ball form the pillow and in a matter of seconds it had returned to its proper form.


There is nothing more important than your health. 70% of people do not like their pillows and lose sleep because of their pillow. A Current Deception review

This is part of a 5 book collection by author Arleen Alleman. This is not the first book in the story line. It does however stand alone so you are not dependant on the other books of the collection to understand what is going on.


The story is a little over 300 pages in the paperback version. I was sent the book to read via email in a PDF file. At the start of the book it is a jumbled mess until you get far enough into the story for all of the players background. Until you get it figured out with all the backgrounds it is rather confusing to follow. In the end it does come together full circle and plays out well.


The plot is about a cruise ship and a group of people with a long history together in one form or another and a deviant that is trying to exact revenge on them. It involves some interesting ants to say the least.


This is an fairly suspenful book once you get in past most of the backgrounds of the characters. It is a good read for those that like murder mystery type stories. The book does provide a lot of detail and that may be where I found it confusing because in some spots it was so detailed I would actually lose focus on the story line. Neoprene Knee Support Brace

This is a very nice knee brace indeed. It does fit well and it does stop the patella from shifting around. The side supports are soft enough that the brace is hardly noticable during activity.


First things first, how to put the brace on. It is a little more difficult to put it on yourself if you are limited in bending motions. I have found the best way to put the brace on is in a sitting position with your leg extened to like a coffee table. This leave the knee area open and a piece of cake to put the straps on. Now you take the brace placing the hole over the patella across the knee with the silicone stripes towards the skin. From there loop the top strap around the thigh area above the knee. Next I put the bottom strap on around the calf area. From there I put the third and final strap around the back of the knee. Lastly if it is a little off from setting secure on the patella you can twist the brace a little bit to get it to fit the patella perfectly. I would not move it more then 1/4 of inch or so to get the adjustment. Past that I would recommend undoing the straps if it needs more motion to be set.

The brace is a Neoprene which is supposed to allow the brace to breath more then other solid brace types. This also makes the sides of the brace more flexible while in motion. I personally did not notice that it mde it much cooler, my knee area inside the brace would still sweet. The 3 straps that wrap around the knee all go the same direction to hook in place. I find this as the only real flaw to the knee brace. I think the center strap going the opposite direction of the other two straps make for a much more secure hold.


The one feature I found really nice is the silicone strips going around the brace. These silicone strips make it much more stable and non slip. They do not actually pull any hairs that might be around the knee either since it holds it in place so much better. The brace for me is a little small so the Velcro parts of the straps are not completely protected from the skin so it can be a bit itchy but easily taken care of with a thin piece of cloth material. The brace is also great during activity to help support and keep the patella from slipping around. However if you are sitting it can be somewhat uncomfortable if you have your legs bent or pulled under you. If you are going to sit like this for an extended time you can take the middle strap from the back of your knee. It is not as supported but does still offer some support and can easily be attached back in place.


If you are in the market for a quality knee brace to help support the tendons, ligaments, and patella this brace will get the job done. I recommend this to anyone that has knee problems frequently for the support and comfort it offers. Red Oven Mitt Barbecue Review

This is a pair of silicone gloves designed to handle high temperatures. They are very large which is good since I have pretty big hands. Now for those that do not they could seem really big. It does not make any difference if your fingers go to the end, they will over lap like an old pot holder does.


I have used them to pull pans out of the over and hot dishes from the microwave. They have the silicone strips on them that give them a non slip gripping surface that makes them 100x better then the traditional pot holder. I have also used them to turn the meat on my grill and to put my grill mat on and arrange it on the grill without burning my fingers. I can see many other uses including taking out hot recently burned out light bulbs, handling hot fire place tools, or even throwing another log on the fire at the lake.


These gloves work great for grabbing hot items that are not wet. They are not designed to be water proof, so do not stick your  hand in a pan of boiling water and expect to not get burned. They are a cloth based mitt not a silicon based. The gloves are also easy to clean, all you have to do is toss them in the washing machine to clean them. You can use them in the dryer as well since they are heat resistant but I hang mine for drying.


If you are in the market for some gloves to have around the house for cooking in the kitchen, backyard, or used for hot objects these are great. They slip on easy and protect very well against burns. Orange Wild Amber Blaze Camouflage Ring Review

I have now picked up my third ring from this company. Only 1 more to go to complete my set. I got one for my Father, Son, Nephew, and the last one will be for me. I like them a great deal since they are designed to take abuse because none of us are nice to any kind of jewelry. We are all active and do a lot of projects that are hands on and we are all guilty of not removing rings before we proceed.


These rings are made from surgical grade stainless steel so they do not lose their shine. This also makes it where they do not turn your finger green from a reaction of metal to skin. None of the rings have had any issues with the center band where the camo is located under any conditions. The center camo band is very nice and does not take away from the shine of the 2 stainless steel bands on both sides of it. The shine of these bands are much like that of platinum bands.


To this day the rings have been worn during showers, dishes, assembly line work, working on cars, weight lifting, or even working in the garden. They have not shown any markings from doing these activities. These rings are also a fairly thick band so they do not bend or give way like most of the other metals like gold and silver.

I like this set of resistance bands because they are very easy to use and set up. They do not take up much space and come with their own carrying bag. Being compact and easy to add to my go bag makes it where I have no excuses to take 20 minutes a few times a week to knock out some excercises. This set of bands for me is great for those low weight, high rep work outs to work on tone. They are also great for those mornings I wake up very stiff and sore. They are great in helping apply a little extra resistance to stretches for helping those aches and pains through the day be less.




The other cool part is the carrying bag that comes along with the resistance bands. There is a quick guide imprinted on the back of the bag showing some ways to use the bands in a work out. This is nice because I do not have to carry a notebook with me showing these same exercises. If you take some time off from doing these exercises you do not have to worry about trying to find the old exercise charts or printing off more with this carrying bag.




These bands also offer many other exercises that can be used in rehab from injuries. I know when I had surgery on my knee many of these exercises where what was shown to me from the rehab center. Having these bands at that time would have made it much more easy for me to do those exercises to aid in my recovery. It would have been nice to be able to start out with a light weight of 6lbs and gradually moved up to know for sure that I was improving through out my rehab.




If you are in the market for a portable, easy to set up exercise or rehab system I strongly recommend these resistance bands. Ultra Bright LED Lantern Review

This is a Lantern offered by Accessorise Your Life(AYL). It is a lanter designed for camping and fishing for the most part. It is a very bright LED light source. It provides 300 Lumens of lighting power. If you have it on  a long time the plastic sheild could get warm. The light offers over 100,000 hours of use. A money-back guarantee plus a lifetime warranty was included with my purchase.


The light has 3 modes of lighting. The first one is a low power setting that is still fairly bright. The second is the higher level of lighting power that is bright. The third is a strobe light to drawn attention incase of an emergency if needed. It is very simple to switch between the light settings by pressing the on button again for each time you want to change the setting.


The intial set up of the lantern is very easy. All it requires is putting the batteries in the bottom of the lantern in the proper way. Then put the bottom back on the lantern. As you do this make sure to line up the 2 markers to make sure it is back on correctly. The battery compartment is semi water resistant so it can be a bit more difficult to put on then most lanterns.


The lantern is great for camping and fishing since it is rather small but still provides a great deal of light. It is safer then the old oil lanterns because if you knock it over you do not have to worry about fires or burning yourself when accidently bumping the lantern. I have used this lantern under the hood of my truck when I was having an issue. The lanter has a plastic hook in the bottom of it that works great to attach to the hood latch. Once I hooked it to the bar for the hood latch I removed the lense and it made for a decent light to see to fix my radiator hose. There is a regular swing handle for the lanter as well that works great in tents with tie straps at the top. Since these are very light weight you can tie them up and have the lantern up in the air to light the whole tent and be out of the way when moving around in the tent. These lanterns will be great the next time a thunder storm decides to blow in and take out the electric.
My one and only complaint with this lantern is there is not a clip on shield of some kind. It would be great if it had this kind of attachment when you on the fishing bank in the middle of the night so you are not blinded.


If you are looking for a better more environmentally safe lantern for unlimted uses this is a great one to start with. Great for hunting, fishing, power outages, working on a vehicle, emergecy situations, and many more. Tekubox Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker Review

At first I did not know what to think about this speaker or what to expect from it. I was thinking it would be kind of cool to be able to hang this speaker in the shower. I was not so sure about the being able to answer a phone call while in the shower though. Personally I would rather wait till someone had completed their shower and call me back instead of being intrusive.


The speaker is kind of unique in how it works. First off the sound out of the speaker is horrible unless you have it against a wall or surface that can reflect the sound off of it since the speaker is actually in the back. The volume of the speaker versus the volume on my devices was also very low compared to other Bluetooth speakers I have used. The speaker does not offer any hard hitting bass but it does offer a decent sound quality for all 3 ranges.


Now for the buttons on the front of the unit. You have a play/pause button, advance track, previous track, answer phone, and the power button. They do as they say with every electronic device. Now to power the unit on and off you have to hold the button down for about 3 seconds and it beeps at you saying that it is on or off depending on the function you are after. Now to set up the search to pair, once you have the power on to the unit hold the power button down for a few seconds and it will start working on pairing. I was able to get it to pair to my phone and tablet without any issues at all.
When it comes to charging the unit it is like any other chargeable unit. You plug in the cable to the bottom of the speaker, there is a rubber garmet that covers it. Next you plug the USB into a slot. I was able to charge this speaker from my portable charger, wall mount, laptop, desktop, and my car charger just to test it. When it is plugged in and charging there is a red light that indicates it is charging. Once that light goes off and the blue light comes on it means the charge has completed. Now for me when I turned the speaker on I left it running until it died on me. I was very amazed at how long it went before losing its charge. Total playing time on the speaker non-stop was 11 hours and 47 minutes.


I did use it in the shower one time to make sure it would hold up to water and I had no issues with it at all. I figure this would be a great speaker for taking out on the boat as well. I no longer keep it in my shower though. I have a window next to my desk and I have stuck it to there and I can charge it without having to take it down. It comes with a suction cup on the backside that holds it in place. This cup works very well. Well enough that I have to get a butter knife to break the suction of the cup so I could move it from the shower.


If you are in the market for a decent speaker with good quality sound across all 3 ranges this may be exactly what you are looking for. I would like to thank Tekubox (Technology Box) and affiliates for sending me this speaker to try out and leave my opinion.

Pratipad Multipurpose Silicone Pot Holder Review

I was sent a set of these to try out. They come in a set of 2. In mine was a green and purple pot holder. They are close to a normal cloth pot holders in size and thickness. Only some of my cloth ones are thinner now since I have used them so much, and I do not see that being an issue with these pot holders from Commerce Solutions.
Sadly I have already lost one of my pot holders. My mother seen it and well she is all about purple! I have become attached to mine and will be getting more of them in the near future since they are so versatile.


I have used these pot holders to pull pans out of the over. I have used them to bring dishes heated up in the microwave. I have also use them as a resting place for my hot pans. They also make great cooling pads for pies. At first when I was using them as a way to pull hot pans out of the over I figured it would be more difficult to control the pans with these pot holders. I actually had more control because of how well the keep the pans from slipping from your grip. They are extremely flexible and go right back to their normal shape after use. These pot holders can be used to open jars as well. They bend over the top of the lid easy and provide a very nice non-slip grip on the top of the jar.


In my house I have a fold out arm on my cabinet that offers an added shelf area if I need. Well it is held up by two hinges that have seen better days. They have started to show the dropping affect a little bit. I have more then once set a dish on this ledge and it has slowly creeped off and proceeded to make it a mopping situation. Since I have gotten these pot holders that is no longer an issue. They grip and hold whatever I put on them in place without any more trips to the mop bucket.
