Wizard's Bane Book Review

Yes another book from Michael J. Allen about fantasy in current time. It is the second book of the series #bittergate . The style of writing follows as in the fist book Murder in Wizard's wood. This book is fairly long at a little over 350 pages. It can be purchased as an e-book, paperback, or hardcover.

Much like the first book this one starts out as a mystery and progresses. The characters of the book are brought in and rounded out. This makes for an understanding of all the is happening in the surroundings. The ending is the same as in the first book with the writing style. I was not very happy with it being so spread out in the endings of each book. That also lets it very open for another story of this series. This is however something I am able to overlook because the rest of the book is great.

Again with this book I would put it at a high school level of reading material. I think it would be a bit much for most under the age of 15-16 level of education. This book offer a great ability to enhance the creative resources as you are reading. It is much like a role playing game as a story.

If you are a fantasy realm type of reader or maybe even just adventure a bit out of the norm this is one book to consider picking up and reading. It offers a great story, the book flows smoothly between transitions, has well rounded character make up, and a good way to burn some hours. I would like to thank Delirious Scribbles Ink for sending me this book to read and share my opinion.

Murder in Wizard's Wood Book Review

This is a book written by author Michael J. Allen. The book fits in the category of a mystical suspense thriller. I would gauge the book as high school level of difficulty for reading. The book has some length to it at over 350 pages. It can be purchased as an ebook, hardcover, or paperback.

This book deals with mystical powers in modern time. The book has many different types of beasts from centaurs to dragons. From the cover of the book it is pretty easy to tell that the main part of this story takes place in a wooded area. Please be careful with only reading the back of the book this really does not do the story any justice. There is so much more that goes on in the book that it can not be put on the back cover.

When it comes to the writing skill of the author he seems to do a very good job. The book flows smoothly, keeps the reader busy, great character development, and a great imagination. I think it is a book for high school level readers and up. I think any younger then that would have a difficult time keeping pace.

If you are a reader that enjoys a mystical environment, creatures, and magic this a book I am sure you will enjoy. I know I enjoyed the book from cover to cover and I would like to thank Delirious Scribbles Ink for sending me this book to read and offer my opinion.

MBK Slim Mechanical watch Review

I had the chance to try out a new watch from M.B.K This is a very nice watch for under twenty dollars. It is a better built watch versus many of the big box stores hundred dollar watches. This watch comes with a metal band, made from stainless steel, a sapphire crystal, and offers fifty meters of water resistance.
I owe an edit on this next paragraph. It is from China and the currency rate puts a price at 292.80 It is not he Japanese Yen as currency.

Okay to start off with I am not sure how this watch company works on its prices. I was sent this watch with the price tag included in the package. It said the price was 1888.00 Yen. This is 16.79 in U.S currency. My watch was shipped from over seas and cut open by customs. They were not gentle in the least with this package. Using a box knife they cut through the tap, gift bag, and fairly deep into the watches box.

First thing one must do upon getting this watch is read the instructions included. There are times during the running time that you do not make adjustments to the day calander. If you ignore these time frames it may damage the watch internal gears. This also gives care instructions to maintain the life of the watch.

This watch has a stainless steel frame. Being stainless steel it should not create a greenish color to the skin if it gets wet. I think the band may even be made from stainless steel making it very durable and the watches only weak point the pins.  The pins on this watch seem to be a decent grade as well in their build. The clasp is a very tight and hard locking. It can be difficult to get the band to release for someone that might have diminished strength. I do hope that the clasp never loses the tight locking ability, as of today it is still a very  tight lock. This is however only based on two weeks worth of wearing time.

Now for the Sapphire crystal: this makes the watch scratch resistant. That does not me scratch proof. If you purposely try to scratch the watch with like a drill or something you will leave marks. Normal everyday bumps and bangs it should hold up nicely against.

The watch offering fifty meters of water resistance is a good thing. This is for people that might be wearing this and go to a park and ride like the log jam where you get wet at the bottom of the ride. I would not recommend someone to go swimming or diving with the watch on their wrist. In the instructions it also lists some cares about the watch and water. For instance do not have the watch underwater and pull out the set pin for the watch because this allows water to reach the inside carriage of the watch.

In my opinion this is a very decent constructed watch. It offers a strong housing, metal band,  strong pins, tight clasp, scratch resistance, and some water resistance. I would like to thank MBK Fashions for sending me this watch to try out and share my opinion.

Tiger Tie Down Straps Review

This is set of 4 tie down straps from Tiger Straps. This set of 4 straps are twenty feet in length. The straps have coated hooks to help prevent damage to the surface you are strapping down too. These are rachet straps with easy release levers.

To start with the straps are rated for 500 pound loads. The straps have a 1500 pound breaking strength. This is pretty much capacity loads for most pick up trucks on weight restrictions. Therefore these straps can and will get the job done for private use. These straps are not designed for a commercial abuse use but appear to be built very durable.

These straps are also 20 feet in length to strecth over most loads that a pick up will see. These will also work great for U-Haul trucks to stretch the full width to secure your load. Most straps you purchase at big box stores are typically half the length and weight capacity. These straps cost 5 dollars more then a set of four at Wal-mart and well worth the cost. These straps offer a nice release for the rachet unlike the Wal-mart ones offering only a metal bar for a release mechanism.

If you are looking for new tie down straps to secure your cargo This is a set I would suggest checking out. In the picture above you can see I am using one of them to reglue a wooden chair. It is over kill but wanted to show the strap in use. This picture also offers a view of the strap laying on the ground to give you an idea of how long these straps really are. I would like to thank Tiger Straps and affiliates for sending me this set of straps to try out and share my opinion.

Lumsing Power Bank Review

This is the Lumsing Glory P2 power bank. With a capacity of 15000Mah at maximum charge. This power bank offers dual charging capabilities for the power bank. There are also two USB ports for charing your devices. Upon ordering this power bank you get he power bank, two charging cables, and an instructions manual. Currently the power bank is available with a black or white housing.

I am going to start with the ability to use two ports at one time to recharge the power bank. There are two ports that can be used for charing the power bank. One is the micro USB port that is marked with input. The second is a type C marked at in/out. You are able to charge the power bank from either of these two ports. This unit also has the ability to charge from both of these ports at the same time reducing you recharge time for the power bank. This of course requires two powered USB ports.

When it comes to charging this may be one of the slowest recovering power banks I have come across. With a single cable charging it can take up to eight hours. If you plug in both charging cables it seems to take about four and a half hours. This is a decent sized power bank at 15000Mah so that does have some to deal with the amount of time to revocer.

In the box there will be two charging cables. These are standard charging cases from the wire housing. The cables are about twelve inches in length. The first cable is a Mirco USB to USB cable. The second cable is a Type C to USB.

Depending on your charging source also plays a big part in how long the power bank takes to recover. I was able to show that the power bank was charging from a 110w ac wall adapter, my laptop/desktop USB ports, and a car adapter port. Virtually anywhere there was a powered USB port I was able to plug in and start recharging the power bank. The fastest was being plugged into a 110w ac wall adapter. This would take about 8 hours for a single plug and about 4 1/2 hours with dual plugs. Next was the laptop and desktop USB ports. This seemed to take about 10 hours to power on a single port and about 6 wih dual ports charging. Lastly the lighter adapter to USB port. This is a method I do not recommend because after 6 hours plugged into the adapter it had not even recovered 25% of the battery.

Next on a full charge I was able to recharge my tablet 4 times to full before needing to recharge the power bank. I also used this power bank to recharge my smart phone. I was able to recharge the phone 4 times for every 25% of the battery life according to the LED's on the power bank. I used this power bank to test out the ability to charge things like Bluetooth earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, and head sets. I was able to recharge the batteries on any device I tried for both the Micro USB and the Type C adapters.

On the side of the power bank that say Lumsing there are 4 small blue indicator lights to show how much charge the power bank has at the current time. All 4 indicators lit up means the power bank is at or near 100%. From there as a LED light turns off is 25% reduction in the amount of charge available in the power bank. On the side of the power bank there is a power button you can use to check the amount of charge in the power bank. It can also be pressed to start charging a device if you did not plug it into the power bank with in 30 seconds of the cable being in the power bank.

Now for the ports of the power bank. There are 2 USB ports to recharge you devices. It offers both 2.0 and 3.0 ports. Next is the input from Micro USB to recharge the power bank. Then there is the Type C that can be used for either in/out for the power bank. This power bank also offers smart charge technology. This means it will protect from over charging, over volt, or many other problems that can happen while recharging a device. So in theory this power bank can charge up to 3 devices at one time from the 2 USB ports and one from the Type C port.

If you are in the market for a power bank that is very versatile this is one to consider. It offers both USB and Type C ports, the abilty to recharge from 2 ports, able to charge up to 3 devices at one time, and has a decent size battery at 15000Mah. I would like to thank Chenlin and affilates for sending me this Lumsing Power Bank to try out and share my opinion.

10 Port Charging Hub Review

Okay to start with this hub is great for expanding charging ports needed for tons of devices. I have read a few of the other reviews here and was concerned to start with about dead ports and them stopping. So I have had mine for about 2 months now checking for durability. I have checked each port for power with my tablet and USB charging cable. So far every port shows powering and charging my tablet. I can not speak for the others but so far my 10 port charger has worked as intended.

As far as I know this only comes in the one color of black with the AOOk in white letters on the casing. It comes with a removable power plug that plugs into the back of the unit and then to your 110w wall outlet. There is a power button located on the back of the unit where you can completely power down the hub if you want.

To see if you have power to the hub it is very simple to check. Plug the device into the powered 110w wall socket and make sure the power button on the back is flipped to the on position. There will be a blue light that shows up inside the device showing that it has power.

I have been able to charge any device from this unit that uses a USB charging cable. This includes our three cellphones, three tablets, Bluetooth speakers, and headsets. These charging ports also includes the smart charging tech. This means it will turn off the port to protect you device that is being charged from over charge, over volt, or any other current issues that may harm your device.

If you are in the market to upgrade your ability to charge more devices with a USB hub this is one you could consider to help with that issue. It offers 10 ports, smart charge technology, very easy set up and use. I would like to thank AOOK and affiliates for sending me this hub to try out and share my opinion.

OfficeGYM Coccyx Seat Cushion Review

This is a lightweight movable seat cushion to improve your sitting environment. This cushion works great in almost any chair that offers a flat back area. The cushion is designed to remove stress and pressure from the coccyx area of the spine.

To start with this cushion is great for reducing the amount of pressure on the coccyx and spine. The cushion makes the back of your legs hold the down pressure of your upper body versus your tail bone. Reducing the pressure off of the tail bone also reduces the pressure of your back, neck, and head. I have had a headache now myself for eight years and reducing any pressure off of my spine reduces the amount of pain in my head some. It does not go away but it certainly does not increase the pain if I have to sit for an extended amount of time.

Now this cushion works great for any chair that offers a flat back. If you are in one of the common wooden table chairs that curve around on the sides towards where you are sitting this cushion does not work because you can not actually place it properly. I have used my cushion in my desk chair, at the stadium on the metal bleachers, and other situations that require me to sit for long periods of time.

The cushion weights about a pound so it is very simple to move around. This cusion is also made from memory foam which means it will return to the natural shape everytime you stand up. The cover to this cushion has been unlike any of the others I have tried in the past. The cover feels more like velvet to the skin meaning that it is very soft to the touch.

If you are a person that is required to sit for extended amounts of time because of work, activities, or even a power gamer this cushion is a great product to consider. It will reduce the pain from your spine, reduce pressure through the spine to your head, and it is very portable. I would like to thank OfficeGym and affiliates for sending me this cushion to try out and share my opinion.

Battery Operated Cork Remover

Okay to start with The description says Electric opener. It is in fact battery operated and requires four AA batteries. There is not an option to plug this device in to make it an electric opener. The opener stands about 16 inches in heighth when it is in the base. This opener is about the size of a twenty ounce bottle of water in circumference. It is light weight and easy to control when it comes to removing cork.

With this thing being battery operated it requires decent batteries with a good charge to work for removing a cork. If the batteries weaken in charge the opener does not do well at all at removing the cork. It simply does not have the drive to push into the cork if the batteries are low. With that said I have probably opened 30 or so bottles on this set of batteries in my opener.

Removing a cork takes 20 or 30 seconds to be removed with this opener. It is not the fastest at removing a cork but it does remove the cork wth out breaking it up. This is a very nice feature when it come to opening a bottle of wine. I hate when there are floaties of cork pieces floating around in my glass.

Now this cork remover is not a bad looking product. It offers a stainless steel housing, and I am one that likes stainless steel. It is very easy to clean and can take a lot of abuse. On the side there is a window to see inside the housing while removing a cork. Not to mention this is a very easy to use remover. There is a button on the side that presses at both ends. This controls in and out function and is very easy to understand.

So if you are in the market for a cork remover this is one that you should consider. It works great with charged batteries, super easy to use, and does not take a lot of space. I would like to thank iTECHOR and affiliates for sending me this cork remover to try out and share my opinion.
