Sentey Headphone FLOW Review

For the low cost of these headphones they are great to have on hand. These headphones from Sentey are made for phones and tablets for the most part. They come with a 3.5mm plug. It has an inline volume control. The padding is not ultra-soft, but they are not bricks on your ears either. These on the ear headphones have decent sound quality. They have a foldable design that really does not offer any space saving. The headphones holder is made of a rigid plastic that appears to be able to take some abuse, maybe from the occasional dropage. I would not try twisting them to test the durability of them though. I am sure they will not withstand that.


I have personally tried them out with my phone, tablet, portable CD player, and stereo. I had no issue with any of the devices working with the headphones. I am going to say they will work with any 3.5mm jack. After about an hour use of these headphones my ears were unfortunately becoming soar and hurting from the pressure of the cups on my ears. They are not designed for prolonged use comfort. As for the quality of the sound: it is very good for these low cost headphones. They have crisp and clear audio through the speakers.





If you are in the market for some reasonably priced headphones this is a great set to consider. They would be perfect for the little ones running around watching their movies or listening to music. Since children tend to drop these a lot they are very cost effective for them to start learning to take care of. They also have a decent style to them and work for the teens as well. With teens being all about appearance like my nephew these are acceptable especially since the come in blue and white (his school colors). Refillable K-cup Filter Review

This is not the first k-cup reusalbe filter I have came across. This may be the last brand that I ever buy again though. Personally my first experience with these filter cups was from a Wal-Mart store. Those red filter cups from Wal-Mart are possibly the worst in my opinion.


These filter cups unlike the Red ones have a flat bottom. The Wal-Mart have a dimple at the bottom that likes to pack with coffee and can be a real pain to get clean. Not to mention, if you do not get it cleaned out very good it will make each and every cup of coffee taste horrible.


With these filter cups from Puna Inc. and sold on amazon you can not go wrong with them. For starters the housing is much thicker and appear to withstand a lot more use. Having the flat bottom also makes them ideal for cleaning out after each use with out any problems. This with out a doubt makes a better cup of coffee, coacoa, or tea because it doesnt leave a residue left over taste to the next cup.

The only issue I had with this new filter cup was upon first getting it. The cap on the first few uses may not set down completely so there can be some grounds float out. If you take a few seconds and work around the whole top of the cap though and press it down firmly 5 or so times, it will seal well. After about 8 or 10 uses the cap starts to seal easier though. I am thinking maybe the hot beverage makes the plastic release some of its tension and snaps in easy from there on. I have since had no issues with the top letting any grounds out. I do not have to work the cap down either, it will snap in place with the first clamp.

Spare Fuel Review

Well this is what is says it is. It is a spare fuel tank for emergency situations. It works well with most gas engines. It comes with a list of what it is best in. Be sure to follow the instructions or there could be complications from use. This is a patented emergency fuel for any gas powered engine, specially designed to be safe to store in your  vehicle’s trunk or storage bay, and also safe to store indoors with your long-term preparedness supplies.


I have been carrying this around in the trunk  of my car for several months now. I have had no issues with it at all in way of leaks or fumes. I do make sure to anchor it in so that it does stay upright though. I did however finally come across an emergency situation this weekend. I finally put this to use, as I was going into town I see some teenagers chugging along running out of gas chugs! We were a few miles from the nearest station still. So I waited for them to give up on trying to make it. I then showed them this product to use and they were happy to try it out. We dumped it into the tank and the car started after a bit of cranking and it did get them into the station.


Now for use of this, it says that it should be added to the tank when the motor is still warm. Then to get regular fuel added to it as soon as possible. I picked this up for a specific purpose for my generator incase I ran out of fuel. It says that it is no recommended for that on the package. Chalkboard Labels Review

This is a set of label stickers that can be used for almost anything. They are mini chalkboard stickers that have a decent adhesive back that attaches to all kinds of surfaces. My set came with 48 total stickers with many different designs. These labels are great for helping with organization of unlimited items.


These mini chalkboard stickers are great for canisters, craft jars, plastic totes, or my bolt bins! They do stick well and I have not had any issues with them peeling from the surface I put them on. I do recommend using a liquid chalk marker to write on them. I tried them out with a regular piece of chalk and writing on them. Using regular chalk took some effort to get the labeling done. It required having to go over the writings several times to get it legible. Not to mention when using regular chalk it was easy to rub it off. I could rub off the message on it just by grabbing the canister. With liquid chalk it was much more stable on the writing, staying on the chalk board.


If you are in the market for organizational tools, have children that tend to forget where they got something from, or if you simply want to make your world more organized this is a unique product that can help with that. ReflectX Shower Mirror Review

This is an interesting use for a mirror surface for sure. I had never thought to make shaving in the shower easier. This makes it where you can see if you have actually fully shaved without having to rub your face for 10 minutes to check. The mirror surface is fairly good at reflecting the images. If you look close to the picture you can see how it looks like a spider web on the surface. That is actually the shower wall glass reflecting in the mirror. It is not a true mirror but it has a good enough reflection to be able to accomplish anything you need in a shower.


The package includes the mirror attached to a draw string. It will easily fit any shower head with its adjustability. There is also included a wall mount clip as well. It attaches much like a 3m hook to the shower wall. In the kit was a directions on cleaning and care for the mirror as well. For cleaning this you should use a wash cloth and some mild soap with some warm water. Now to insure that the mirror remains fogless while you are in the shower you have to take a few quick steps. First turn your shower on and get it to temperature for your shower. Next hold the mirror surface under the shower head. This needs to be a couple of inches from the nozzle. Hold it in this position for a few seconds. Once this is done it should stay fogless while you shower and shave.
If you shave while in the shower. Know someone that does shave while showering. This can also be used to look at areas that are not directly visible to your sight for cleanliness as well. This is a great adjustable fogless mirror to help make that task so much easier. Orion Camping Lantern with Power Bank Review

This lantern is simply Amazing! For starters the order includes the lantern, two rechargeable batteries, three standard AA batteries, charging cord, S-Clip, and instructions manual. The lantern is very compact and light weight. It produces a lot of light for the size without a doubt. First off I tested this lantern with only the rechargeable batteries. Then I tried it out with only the 3 AA batteries. I did not notice any drop in the lights brightness of either battery source.





Setting up the lantern is super easy. The rechargeable batteries go in the bottom through a removable plate that twists on and off. The AA batteries go into the top of the lantern in a very similar process as the rechargeable batteries. There is a push button on the side of the lantern to change the light source you want. There are 4 stages of lights in this unit. First stage, a VERY bright light. Second stage, is a dimmed down version of the bright setting. Third stage, is a solid red light a bit brighter then the second stage. The fourth stage is a red strobe light incase of emergency. The coolest part of this whole lantern is actually turning it on. You can push the button on the side all you want and nothing will happen until you grab the top and pull it up. It is a tube in a tube design and once you start separating it the light begins to shine. Then pressing the buttons you can take it through the light stages to the setting you need.
It comes with 2 rechargeable Lithium Ion Batteries. I use this as the power source of my lantern since they are rechargeable and you do not have to have the AA batteries in to make it function. It is super easy to charge these batteries. I have an adapter that goes into a car lighter to a USB port. So while I am out on the lake on the boat if it goes weak I can use the lighter plug on my boat to charge it up. While I am in camp I can recharge it in the morning from my car lighter. I have also hooked it to my laptop, desktop, and wall charger. I had no issues with it on any of the forms for taking the charge. It comes with its own adapter cord to there is not hunting the stores for one that will work with this product. Now I can see when I get ready to go out on my 2 day treks that I will have a package of batteries ready if the rechargeable ones give out while I am out on my hike.





The S-clip is a nice addition to this lantern. You can take both of the wire frame handles up and use the clip to put them together and use the other end of the clip to hook on a loop inside the tent. This keeps out of the way and off of the ground incase of a flooding. The battery areas of the lantern twist on caps also have rubber seals to help prevent water damage to the unit. I would not try submerging it in water, it is not designed for that. It is designed to keep the splash affect or accidental spill around it.
This unit comes with a 5 Year Warranty* and their No Questions Asked Return Policy, so you can rest assured that there is absolutely no risk to you! This is truly a remarkable unit for camping, fishing, hunting, power outages, on my boat!, or even the making a tent in the living room out of blankets camp! It doesn't heat up so there is no threat of a fire with this unit. Not to mention unlike traditional lanterns if it gets bumped or knocked over it doesn't break the mantles. I can not even begin to think of how many mantles I have changed out from the lanterns being knocked over. If you are in the market to get a new lantern this is a must. It is lighter, smaller, and more cost effective not to mention it puts out more light then a traditional lantern. It is safer because it does not have the risk of starting fires. It wont cause burns if someone bumps into it with their leg. Most of all the light doesn't stop working from being knocked over.

MeasuPro BPM-20A Review

I was sent the MeasuPro BPM-20A upper arm blood pressure machine.  It is very light weight and portable with its own carrying bag included. It works off of 4 AA batteries that are included in the packaging. So it can be used anywhere as long as the batteries are not dead. The BP cuff is super easy to use and has a very large LCD screen. What was all included with my box was the cuff size large, the meter, and an instructions booklet.


To start with, light weight and portable. The unit it self if it weights more then 2 pounds I would be surprised. I didn't actually weight it so that is only a guess. At this weight it makes it super easy to transport and carry around anywhere that is needed. If you have family like mine that has a lot of medical problems due to age and other environmental reasons, this is a handy piece of equipment to have at a moments notice. With a lot of medical treatments go off of your systolic. diastolic, and pulse readings having these numbers ready for any emergency situation can help speed up the care by giving them a base to work from. I mean the will go ahead and take their own readings as well, but you get them thinking of treatments before their readings are done and they respond quicker to their readings.


The BP cuff itself has a nice cloth feeling to the inside that rides on the arm. It has a plastic tube so you don't accidently pull the cuff completely apart. The cuff that came with my unit was a large cuff and was not large enough for my upper arm. At the cuffs max it barely fit on my forearm. In the picture you can see what the cuff looks like as it is wrapped around my nephew's arm. The cuff is very easy to slip onto the arm and get the reading. The Velcro attaches very firmly to the sleeve which makes the reading more accurate.


Onto the LCD screen. As you can see in the picture, it is very large. The number readings are large enough to see from a distance, or for someone that struggles with their vision. The LCD screen also has a brightly lit back to make even easier to get your pressure readings. Being able to see and track your readings easily and correctly is very essential to your health. As far as the readings go it is set up for 2 users. Each user can track their last 60 uses of cuff.


It comes with an instructional manual. I really recommend reading through this completely so you can figure out how to reset the readings incase someone chooses the wrong profile. Or if you need to change the profile for the users in general. The manual also explains how to read the meter for things like irregular heartbeats and any arrhythmias. Now to make the cuff work it is super simple. All you have to do is make sure the batteries are installed. Make sure the cuff is plugged into the unit. Then you slip the cuff on the arm to the upper arm and take snug where it doesn't slide down with the Velcro. Then you choose either the first or second user button. Once you press the user button associated with you the cuff starts to fill up and takes the pressure. In about 30 seconds it will give you are clear reading on the LCD screen. That's it for taking your readings. Now all you do is loosen the Velcro and slip it off your arm and put it back in the bag. I have yet to get it in the bag before it shuts off on its own, so no worries about if it is still running or not.

FSL Xylem Review

This set of ear buds come with replacement rubber tips, manual, and a really nice case to keep them in. The ear buds are made of wood unlike most made with plastic. There is also an inline control for calls, music, and mic.


For a low end cost ear buds these are a fair product. They claim to have great bass, I did not get that when playing my music. The ear buds having the rubber tips to fit into the ear are comfortable, but with some or little motion they do pop out of your ears though. I give the ear buds overall sound quality an average to above average rating. The music does come through the buds very crisp and clear.


Now for the cables of the ear buds. There is a push button control inline on the wire. It has many functions and works well with many different devices. I used it on my smartphone and tablet. I had no problems with either of them or with the functions of the inline control. The cables are very thin sadly with any dragging motion on the cables it is transferred to the ear buds and heard. I was getting the transference from turning my head left to right and it dragging across my shirt.


The extra rubber tips for the ear buds and the case is a really nice addition. The bag has a pinch top to open and close them, like old coin bags. The case is made of with a very durable rubber housing.

Ice Ball Tray Review

These silicone ice trays are great. I have several types including large cube, small cube, and the sphere. At first you think they are going to be flimsy and fold over double once you fill them with water. However that is not the case, they hold their form once the water is added. These ice cubes once out hold form and keep drinks very cold for several hours. There are many things you can do with this mold. For starters you can take the top off and fill the sphere in the bottom to the ridge and you can have half moon ice cubes. Next you can leave the top off and fill the whole bottom half full and make one really large ice cube that can be put in a lunch pail to keep the food in good shape till you get to it. Lastly the other way I have used this mold, was as intended, putting the to pieces together and using the fill holes on the top of the mold to fill the complete sphere. These Spheres are great for drinks with straws, because the straws do not hook on the jagged or cubed edged of regular ice cubes.


As far as cleaning if needed, only takes a little bit of warm running water. I tried this mold out with Kool-Aid spheres. When it comes to filling the sphere mold, be sure to put the notches the proper way to make sure that it is a secure fit. Next hold down in the middle of the mold so the sphere's fill up nicely. If you do not hold down in the middle the top plate might float up on you as you are adding water. Once you have them filled, stick them in the freezer and you now have spheres of goodness. To get the cubes out take the top plate out. You might have to bend the mold a little each direction because there is some water run between the spheres sometimes. Once you have the top plate off then press up from the bottom of the sphere on the outside of the mold and they pop right on out for you. To me they are much easier to get out of the mold versus the regular cubed silicone trays.


If you are looking for new ice trays, If you are wanting better ice trays, of you are wanting to be able to offer something other then the boring cubed ice. FSL Gunblock Review

At first I did not understand how these were supposed to work. After some research I now grasp the concept behind these. They are not to get rid of noise from the environment but only to reduce. At first I was expecting these to block out all noise. I first put them on and could actually hear what people next to me talking with out any problems at all. Their voices were only slightly reduced in volume. So I had to do some research on why they were not blocking out the noise. Here is what I found out:

How does NRR change decibels of exposure?
When hearing protection is worn, your level of exposure to noise is based on the NRR rating of the protection device being used. Keep in mind, however, that while the NRR is measured in decibels, the hearing protector being used does not reduce the surrounding decibel level by the exact number of decibels associated with that protector’s NRR. For example, if you are at a rock concert where the level of noise exposure is 100 dB and you are wearing earplugs with an NRR 33dB, your level of exposure would not be reduced to 67 dB. Instead, to determine the actual amount of decibel deduction applied (when decibels are measured dBA which is the most common), you take the NRR number (in dB), subtract seven, and then divide by two. Given the previous example, your noise reduction equation would look like the following: (33-7)/2 = 13. This means that if you are at a rock concert with a level of noise exposure at 100 dB and you are wearing a hearing protector with an NRR 33 dB, your new level of noise exposure is 87 dB. If you are wearing a product with an NRR of 27 it would deduct 10 decibels (27-7/2=10).


So with that in mind 29-7/2 = 11 decibles of reduction from these ear muffs. These do perform well at reducing the incoming noise without doubt. They offer a decent level of protection to your ears if you are in a loud environment. For instance, a machine shop, firing ranges, or even a concert. I recommend these for sure if you are in a loud environment for your own protection. They are your ears and you should make sure to take care of them.


The design of the ear muffs are exceptional. They fold up and to a fairly small package to make them easy to transport. They adjust to just about anyones head. The padding around the ears is very comfortable and seal against the head firmly. They also come with a FSL lifetime support and 3 Year warranty. The Universe Verse Book Review

The author: James Lu Dunbar deserves many props for creating such an awesome book! This is a book based on a lot of science facts. They are placed in a manner that is great for children 12 and up on through adults. For the younger kids with some help can grasp these concepts. The manner in which they convey the message makes it easy for kids to get and apply to their thinking. I think this book has great potential for anyone wanting to understand the science behind things like the big bang theory or how we are nothing but a spec in the time the earth has been around. It is wrote on a level easy enough to understand, it is not words that take 3 hours to figure out how to pronounce. Being in this manner it is actually really easy to lose yourself in the book for hours. The pictures really add to the time you spend in the book. They are great illustrations and are an amazing attribute to this book.





Everyone I have shared this book with have been amazed. I am constantly hearing how great the pictures are and how easy it is to read. Everyone I have shown it to has asked to read it once I am done with it. I have personally shared the book with a group of children about 8 to 13 here at the community. They smaller ones really like the pictures and kind of look at me a little lost with the concepts, the older ones give me a smile and "ah that is cool" type responses.


If you like science. If you want to bring science facts to your family and friends. Or if you like books that have great pictures and easy to comprehend. This is definitely a great book to check out. Headlamp Headlight by iHeadlight (IHL-L55Pro) is a very useful tool. It has so many functions and purposes that are unending. Personally I find it very useful when I am working on a vehicle from the underneath. This keeps both of your hands useful for tools and provides light at the same time. I have used this for those after hour BBQ's in the back yard. Makes it where I can turn on the light as needed and back off. This helps keep the bugs down that are out and about flying around. I can see hunters using this before sunrise walking through the forest to get to their stands safely and setting up for the day.

Now how the multiple lights work. There is a single button on top of the unit. Pressing the button once turn the lamp on at maximum. Press the button again and it goes to the medium setting. And lastly press the button a third time and it goes to the lowest light setting. Now for the red strobe light functions. Press the button on top and hold it until the red flashing light starts. You can press the button on top again to change it to the second flashing light setting. To stop the flashing you have to hold the button again till the red flashing discontinues. These lights are fairly bright for a short distance but that is what they are designed for. It is for a very low lit or dark area with the ability to keep your hands free for what you might be in the middle of.





For the price and all of the projects this can help with, I can not see where this is a bad deal in anyway. For mechanics, runners, hunters, or power outages have a use for this for sure. I know it has helped me after dark going to my truck tool box and find tools more easily I needed in the house. Since my truck box doesn't have light, I don't have to hold  a flashlight while I try to dig though it and get a specific tool. First off we will start with the bottles. There are four that were included in my purchase. They are semi transparent so you can make out what is in the bottles for the most part. I went ahead and broke out the sharpie and labeled them on the outside. These bottles are four different colors in the order as well so if you want to keep track by color on what is in them would work as well. It is super easy to fill these and use. I personally have body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion in my four travel bottles.


For you travelers you can relate to this. Heading in for the night at random hotel in the middle of no where. You go in to take the shower and find they have purchased the cheapest soap possible to keep their costs down, but have no consideration to your hair, skin, and the drying effects from using their generic soap. The Grace of God Movie Review

This is as it states in the title,  a religious based movie. The movie has a really good line and purpose. It speaks a very good and important message throughout it. My only drawback to movies like this is when it is pretty much a sermon through the entire show. To me it really slows a movie way down. It is easy to tell that it is a B class movie or less from the filming aspect. At times in the movie it really comes across as the actors are having troubles with the lines and does not flow entirely smooth. Maybe the were running out of film or something and had to go with what was best and offered to them for the takes.


This movie strikes hard on one of the ten commandments, thou shalt not steal. It does go in great detail of the this and that it does not only mean theft of items. It touches on how one can be put in a situation and taking advantage of it. This way happens to be with theft from a church. From there the person responsible for the theft comes forth and admits and returns the stolen goods. Next is the power of forgiveness.

I was sent a set of sheets from an assorted batch. These are not my favorite color, but mine was sent from an assorted batch, so I cant complain. These sheets are very soft and comfortable to the skin. The fitted sheets have really nice deep pockets. This makes it really easy to fit a bed like mine with the double pillow top. This unit is super easy to charge. Testing it out I attached to my tower and laptop for charging purposes. There was no issue it directly started charging no software or anything else needed to get it to take. It comes with the USB cord for attaching it to your electronics. It has a nice very visible stats bar to show how much charge it has remaining. I was able to charge my tablet and phone both off of one charge and it still looked to have about 1/4 of the charge remaining. So effectively I can get 2 full charges for my tablet, adds an extra 2-3 hours of time before needing to plug it in. The Stonys charger took no where near the time to recharge as for the power it provides. I could easily recharge my tablet with the portable charger and plug it back in to recharge and keep my tablet going as long as I need in that manner and it not have me leashed to a wall.

QuickTemp™ Digital Thermometer Review

Well to start with is it a very compact thermometer. The needle folds up nicely and has covering for the tip so there is no worries of jabbing your finger when you go to pick it up.  The unit has 3 function buttons. First is the on/off button in red. Then we have a c/f button to change which measure you want the temp in. Lastly is the hold button, and both of these other two buttons are blue. It offers a decent size view screen on the LCD panel. Which makes it fairly easy to read. Quick Temp measures between -58 to 572 degrees Fahrenheit which to me is a very large range. The unit only requires only one AAA battery to power it as well.


As you can see from the picture my nephew is learning to cook. So we are taking some chicken breasts and cooking them out on the grill. I told him he was going to get to use this new thermometer to get the temperature of the meat while he was cooking. He was being impatient, like any normal teen  and wanted to "probe the meat" as he called it!  Either way this is a great unit for anyone especially new cooks leaning their way around a chunk of meat. It has a fairly long probe which makes it ideal to get temperatures on large meats like prime rib, hams, or roasts. The only thing that I think might need to be improved upon is the LCD screen, it does not have a back light which makes it kind of difficult to read cooking on the grill in the backyard after the sun has gone down.


If you are an experienced cook, new cook, back yard griller, or just the run of the mills experimentalist in the kitchen this is a great unit to consider for recording the temperatures of your food. This is also great for those needing to test liquids. Say for instance needing to check the temperature of the bottle of milk you are warming up at three A.M.! Instead of the mistake of over heating it and then squirting it on your arm to make sure it is not to hot and scalding your own arm can now be over with. Clean up is a breeze with this unit as well. All it requires is a little bit of soapy water and a quick wipe down. The only thing that it did was prevent me from bending my arm 100% but I was probably at 98%. No where near enough to cause any issues with movement or training.


If you are training for long distance running this will greatly help reduce muscle fatigue. If you are lifting at a regular bases this will help prevent joint damage because it keeps the muscles in place. The other really good use for this knee sleeve is for those that have injured their knee. For instance hyper extending, this brace helps relieve the pain and speed up the healing process because it compresses things to the right places. No-Tie Shoelaces Review

These shoelaces are from FastMile.  As you can see in the picture, there were three sets of shoe laces in my order. Each came individually wrapped. This was nice I did not have a jigsaw puzzle when opening the box. The laces are made of an expandable material which makes them not fit as tightly on the bridge of the foot when tied. It reduces the pain for people that might hold water in their feet. The swelling from that against shoe laces can be quit uncomfortable. These laces are very easy to install.  There is a booklet included explaining how to install these laces. To lace a shoe with these laces,  First you lace the shoe or boot with the elastic shoe laces like you would normally. Then you need to thread both ends through the lock. As you do this you need to press the lock down and thread it above the spring (otherwise the lock will not lock in and be loose).  Next step is to tighten the laces to your liking thread both ends through one end cap. You thread through the thin end. To finish, tie the knots on the shoe lace ends, and tuck them into the wide end of the end cap.


These shoe laces have so many benefits to owning them. For starters, runners have started to use the a lot from what I have seen, since they never come untied. No more need to double knot them and fighting to get your shoes back off once you did double knot them. These are great for the elderly because they make it much more simple to slip the shoes on and off. I have given a set to my mother for her shoes, she has started having issues with her back and these have helped her greatly in making it easier to get her shoes on and off. These are great for those kids that do not notice their shoes have come untied often. I remember back in the second or third grade, one of my friends was going up to turn in his paper from doing an assignment. He had not see his shoes had come untied. As he made it about half way to the front of the room to turn in his paper he stepped on his own untied shoe laces. He proceeded to fall forward and did not get his hands out in front of him quick enough. The result was a few stitches in his chin where it was split open from the fall. In this instance these would have saved a lot of pain for my friend.


So if you are an runner and looking for a better way to make sure your wheels do not go flat. If you are elderly, disabled, or physically incapable of routinely tie shoe laces. If you have teens that like to leave their shoes tied and stretch them out every time they remove them. If you have a small child that likes to run around with their shoes untied. Francois et Mimi Stainless Steel Bread Box Review

First things first, if you like shiny then this will definitely catch your eye. The Stainless steal housing is great at reflecting light of the case in a semi lit pantry closet. Making it easy to spot. Also the stainless steel housing makes it a cinch to clean. The inside is just as shiny by the way! Now the purpose is to store your bread and help prevent it from molding to soon, or finding a can of green beans on top of it. It is large enough to hold the full loaf of Iron Kids sandwich bread. Or it can be used to hold hamburger and hotdog buns as shown in the picture. If there is a bread maker in the kitchen then this is a great place to put the bread once you have made your fresh homemade loaves. There is a plastic lid on it that you are some what able to see through. Which is nice for doing inventory before going shopping and not having to open it to see how much is actually in there.


The casing appears to be very durable and the glass top is said to be shatter proof, but I am not going to test that theory. I like it way to much for that! The only part that looks like it might see some wear and tear is at the hinges of the fold up lid. Those do not look to be as durable as the rest of the unit, but it is moving parts and most items that have moving parts are almost always the weakest part. Over all I am very pleased with this breadbox and plan to keep it around for as long as possible. I like shiny things too!

Guy Erma and the Son of Empire (e-book) review

A Young Adult Sci-fi story by author Sally Ann Melia.  It is a fairly long novel reaching a little over 400 pages on my reader app. This story does have a very strong plot line. It has quit a bit of suspense and action through out the whole book. The book has enough going on to keep the interest of the reader and leave them wondering what will happen next. I did enjoy the book and I do look forward to reading the next books in the series. The story is creative in the way it incorporates others ideas into it. It is not a truly unique thought or idea. The plot is a little different from others but it is only different in ways of how they relate. For instance The Borg in this book are basically Terminators. The two warring factions are like Star Wars with the Empire, and the Rebel alliance. In all actuality the book appears to be written from someone that walked into Wal-Mart and went to the movie section and picked up about 10 titles and went to work on how they could be used in a single book. I can see where this book draws on Game of Thrones with "the bastards" and how they are treated and led to a life of prostitution. The telepathic ability when touching the Gorans (large cats) from Avatar. Even from the boys fighting in an arena possibly street fighter. The rescue of the prince to me relates a lot on Escape from L.A.


The story is loosely based on the Game of Thrones with the deception and deadly games played to achieve their wanted outcome. Guy Erma desperately wants to join the planetary protection force known as the Dome Elite. Then we have Prince Teodor, who becomes a hostage to the borg. Now these to boys are a primary focus for the plot of the story. They are boy young teens thirteen/fourteen ages. This story deals with a three day time period. So there is a lot going on in a very short time. There is a lot more and many other protagonists and antagonist I did not mention because I do not wish to write a spoiler.


If you are a fan of Sci-Fi, thriller, suspenseful, action books. This is a must read for sure. It does have a great plot and a lot of excitement. I did enjoy the book and it has a lot of potential in upcoming books to this series. Talon: The Windwalker Archive (e-book) Review

This is a story written by author Michael James Ploof. Talon is a semi short book reaching about 225 pages on my reader app. This story has a decent plot, if you are a fan of Game of Thrones, this is a great book of that kind of story line. The book itself is not written the best as far as the story line at the beginning. It does a lot of jumping around and makes you reread a lot of the previous pages over again at the start. This is my only complaint about the book.  Once you are through the start of the book it really comes together and flows very nicely.




For the story: This is about a culture much like the Vikings only a bit larger. Males average eight feet and women at seven feet. The story is about a premature child that never achieves the normal size of society. Since he never reaches the giant size of this clan he is shunned to a life of slavery. He is constantly attacked and threatened throughout the story.  The story kind of leaves you trying to figure out how a runt that is constantly picked on, threatened, and even tortured in many ways has no skill or ability to defend or outwit to survive anything. This story ends on a high point and leaves it like the Soprano's "fade to black" I know it is to draw the readers for the second book and I look forward to checking it out.




Now for the Author: Michael James Ploof it is pretty easy to tell he is just starting out and not a seasoned writer. This is a good start to what I hope to be a long career in writing. His story can be related to other like things out there, but that is almost the same for any story. He has put a decent twist on his story to make it fairly unique. After a few more books I see him writing on a great level.  He could possibly become the next James Patterson. Currently Talon is available in e-book and paperback. Some of the attributes of this BP cuff are: 1) It measures BP and pulse, 2) Easy one step monitoring, 3) Has a graph to measure hypertension, 4) stores up to 60 recorded tests to memory, 5) It is designed for 2 separate users. The BP cuff comes with 4 AAA batteries (included), medium to large sized arm cuff, carrying bag, and user manual.
The write up from the company: Using advanced technology, the MeasuPro Digital Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor provides accurate measurements of your blood pressure and pulse rate. You'll find that it is compact, comfortable, and simple to use. Using a highly advanced mechanism, it offers state of the art technology to provide the highest grade accuracy. Measurements are taken through a fast and easy process using Measure and Inflate technology. The pressurized arm cuff auto-inflates with the touch of a button and automatically releases the pressure when the measurement is complete. Graphical readings are classified in five different levels according to the guidelines of the American Heart Association: Normal, Pre-hypertension, Hypertension Stage 1, Hypertension Stage 2, and Hypertensive crisis. It also calculates and averages your blood pressure based on the last 3 readings and detects irregular heartbeats and any arrhythmias.


Personally I am extremely satisfied with this unit. It is very easy to use and record your readings. With the very bright and large LCD screen it makes it difficult for those that have some vision troubles. Now as far as the unit, it is very light weight and easy to transport in its carrying case. It can be taken anywhere that you are going because it works on batteries. I took this unit to my doctor's office to check it against their units they had in their office to check the accuracy of this unit. To my surprise it was only off by a couple on the readings, but that can be due to any number of things, say for instance turning you head to fast during the reading or moving the arm slightly. So I find that this unit is accurate in its recordings. Now with the ease of use, my father can use this without any problems and he is technologically challenged. All it requires is slipping it onto your upper arm and hitting the number that is for your profile. For him he is set as profile 1, so he hits the little figure that has an human icon with the letter 1 on it. This will record his last 60 tests. Once he hits the button the cuff starts inflating and takes the BP and pulse, and once it is done it gives the read out on the LCD screen. From there it deflates and the test is over.

Now for me this unit does not work so well since I am larger then most people. For me the medium to large cuff was not large enough for my upper are. I could barely get the Velcro to lock in around my arm and had to hold it with my hand or it would pop off of my arm. I could use it on my forearm but that is not as accurate.  So my parents now have this unit, and it does work great for them. Dad is profile one and Mom is profile two and it works out perfectly. Since my dad has a lot of medical problems he now uses this cuff to track his BP and Pulse daily. He then takes his results to the doctor as he sees him on his regular check ups. Before he didn't track it and now with this the doctors have a great record to monitor incase something is starting to go south.

I would like to thank MeasuPro and affiliates for sending me this BP cuff for me to try out and leave my opinion. It is great to have around with any type of sports that do not have medical staff present, or if you are traveling and need to closely monitor your vitals. Having this on hand is great regardless incase of any emergency situations. These vital signs help greatly in assisting in treatments that might be needed in that emergency.

Abigail and the Tropical Island Adventure (E-book)

This is a children's book by author Tami Carmi. It is geared for ages two too eight. It is meant for reading to them as they are young and for a starter book for beginning readers. This is one of many books of this series about Abigail and her adventures. This series of books is great for introducing kids to new cultures, locations around the world, and increase their colorful imagination.


This book centers on Abigail and her adventures to a Tropical island. Abigail does her traveling by bicycle. On this trip she is exposed to a little bit of different culture. This trip is brought on by Abigail's imagination on a rainy day when she is unable to go outside and play. While on her trip she meets a few new people and makes friends.


If you have small children, grandchildren, nieces, younger siblings, nieces, or nephews that are in this age range. I strongly recommend this as a great starter book. 18" Packing Organizer Review

Each 18" Packing Folder holds up to 8 to 12 shirts or pants is what they claim. I put 4 pair of slacks and 4 shirts in the bag with no problems at all for room. I am sure it could hold more but that seems to be about all I can get in there and keep the Velcro hooked. This bag can be used as a stand alone carrying bag. I personally put it in my suitcase to protect it even more. It is great for keeping the ironed clothes looking that way on long road trips. I never understood before how unorganized I was until this came into the picture. It is so beneficial and useful.


Now for the bag. It seems to be fairly durable but I would not try over loading it and stretching the stitching. Like any other bag treating it in this manner I am sure it will break down and become unusable. The handle for the bag looks like it is only capable of a few pounds of weight, but that is what it is intended for. The different flaps all fold in and Velcro into place. I am sure after years of use the Velcro will start collecting lint balls, they all do. So take care to keep those cleaned out and this should last for a very long time. Each bag comes with a plastic card showing the proper way to fold shirts to put into the bag. The folding directions may be the most important part of this bag!





If you do a lot of traveling, and you have been doing it without these travel organizers, all I can say is you have been doing it wrong. These things are great for maintaining ironed shirts. 15 inch Packing Organizer Review

Each 15" Packing Folder holds up to 7 shirts or pants per their description. I have found that me putting more then 5 in the bag they start to get folds in the wrong places. I will blame that on my folding ability most likely though. This organizer makes it very easy to do packing. Personally I only use it to hold shirts that will require ironing. I get them cleaned, ironed, and then put them in my organizer. Now when it comes to packing, this organizer can be a stand along bag to carry in your hands. I personally put my t-shirts and pants in the bag then place this on top of them in the bag. Then when I get to my destination I open my bag and pull this organizer out and everything is in place and no digging around. I am not 100% convinced I do not need to carry my travel iron, but I have not had to use it once I put my shirts into the bag. So this saves me time and efforts once at my destination.
