Ceramic Bowl with Lid Review
This is a microwave and freezer safe ceramic bowl. Currently it comes in 6 colors; blue, red, green, yellow, orange, and pink. The lid however is a clear tempered glass with red silicone. So when you order this plan on the silicone ring on the lid to not match the bowl unless you get the red bowl.
How this bowl works is interesting. There is a silicone flower in the top of the lid. This flower will slide up and down inside the lid. When you pull the flower up it makes a couple of areas where you can see it will vent air. When you press the lid down firmly it is not sealed extremely tight until you press the flower into the bowl. This works much like how the burping of old tuperware used to work. The seal is not a super strong seal but you can certainly feel more suction pressure doing this. To release the lid easy, you pull the flower on top up and it vents the air and makes the seal much easier to remove from the bowl.
Personally I use the bowl for my lunches at home. I usually have soup and sandwich for lunch. Rarely I finish off a whole can of soup with a sandwich. So this bowl works out great for me. I heat my soup in the bowl to start with. I then eat what part of the soup I want for the afternoon. Then I put the lid on it and place it is the fridge. Once I seal the lid I do not have to worry about food taste tranfer from inside the fridge to my soup. Now it is saved for my next day that I have lunch at the house.
The bowls can be used as a freezing container as well if you need. This is kind of cool since you can see through the lid and can usually tell what is in the bowl. It is kind of like window shopping for dinner from your freezer. The next thing this bowl can be used as a small casserole dish since it can be put in the oven without hurting the bowl. Lastly the bowl is easy to care for and clean up. I use soapy water and a dish cloth to clean mine. However this unit is dishwasher safe if that is an option.
If you are looking for a very useful bowl for around the house for keeping food fresh in the fridge, having a container for storage that you can see the contents in, or even a small baking dish; this bowl will cover all your needs. I would like to thank Yilove and affiliates for sending me this bowl to try out and share my opinion.
