This is a remote flameless candle. It is a first for me and I really like it. It works off of 3 AAA batteries for the candle and there is a cell battery for the remote. It is easy to set up and much safer then traditional candles.
The candle housing is made from real wax so it does feel like a traditional candle. You will need to keep it away from heat sources or the housing will melt from the candle.
It is about 3 inches in diameter and about 8 inches tall.
How this candle works is pretty cool. There is an LED light inside the candle that faces upwards inside the candle. You do not have to worry about this light going out very quickly since it is LED and usually works for 30,000 to 100,000 hours. Now there is the flame looking plastic tip that protrudes out of the top. Next there is a fan that blows upwards toward the plastic flame that causes it to dance. When the light is on and it is dancing around from the fan it appears to be flickering like a traditional candle.
The remote is a handy addition to this candle. Once you put the batteries in and turn the switch on the bottom to on the remote comes in very handy. There are many settings for your candle through the remote. You can set it to a timer of 2, 4, 6, and 8 hours. Next you can change it from being a candle mode with the flickering flame to a solid light. Then you can change the brightness of the LED light inside of the candle depending on the mood in the room. Lastly there is the on/off switch from the remote control.
Another cool feature is setting it up to come on everyday at the same time and be on for the set amount of time. Once you have turned the candle on and set the amount of time the candle is to be on for it will remember that and turn on everyday at that time. To stop this function you simply have to turn on/off button on the bottom to off. You can also turn it off from the remote as well by pressing the red off button on the remote.
If you are looking for a very safe alternative to a traditional candle this is a great product to consider. You do not have to worry about it setting fire to your house if you forget to turn it off since it is an LED light and not a true fire. It is easy to set up for any situation or mood.
