This is a 14 inch by 11 inch double sided cutting board. The board is made from bamboo so it is gentle on your blades. I am not sure if it because I am a tester and was sent one of the sub standard boards or if it is something to be concerned with on purchasing this board. I have sent an message to the company about this board today and look forward to hearing from them since it comes with a warranty.
To start with the wood knot that goes through the center of the board I was sent. This thing makes the board wobble and makes using the smooth serving side of the board useless. If you try to use it as a serving tray it bounces and wobbles around. If you try to use the smooth side oif the board with the juice line, it becomes dangerous to clean anything from the teetering.
The board being made from bamboo is great though. This is a very hard wook that lets very little into the pores. This keeps down the chances of mold or other bacteria from forming easily. The next benefit of bamboo is how much easier it is on your blades. It does not dull your edges as quickly as the plastic boards.
I do like the idea of the double sided board. A raw board used for chopping and the likes. The second side a much smoother surface for fine cleaning. This smoother side having a juice line to help prevent messes across your kitchen cabinets when cleaning things like pineapples.
If you are looking for a cutting board this is one that may work out for you. It has the double sides making it multi functional, a juice groove line, bamboo, and easy to keep clean. I would like to thank Commerce Solutions for sending me this cutting board to try out and share my opinion.
