Lantern Flashlight Review

This is a multi-purpose flash light. The flash light has 5 light stages. This is also a rechargeable flash light. Upon ordering this flash light you get a USB to micro USB charging cable, 110 to USB adapter, the flash light, a 2 year warranty, and a users manual.

To start with the light stages. The first stage is a bright torch which is turned on my holding the power button for a couple of seconds. Next is a low torch settings this is done by turning of the bright setting and then holding the power button again for a couple of seconds. This is the pattern to go through each of the stages. Then comes the strobe light function. After that is the side panel that they call a lantern. Last is a low setting for the lantern panel.

The torch offers a really nice beam to see with. On the high torch I can see clearly for about 50 feet. From there it starts to break down on seeing cleary but you can still see cleary for 100 feet just not in as vivid. On the low torch it is closer to about 30 feet for clear sight with definition. The strobe light is the high torch fading in and out. Next is the lantern and this is not a torch for lighting up for distance but will light up a large room. On the lower setting it will light up a small room or storage building.

Now for the flash light construction. This flash light has an aluminum housing making it impact resistant. Next the light is a Cree light so it will have thousands of hours of use before it will burn out. The description says that the light is water proof but I have not seen any kind of IP rating. However the joints of the flash light do have rubber seals to help with water resistance. I would say you are more then okay to use this in rainy weather but I would not try to go swimming with this light. Now for the only part of this light that I find weak is the wrist strap that is included. It is a thin string that looks like a simple snag and it will be torn off the light.

When charging this flash light it takes several hours to get to max charge. Depending on the power you are charging from on how long it takes. I know with this plugged directly into the wall adapter supplied it took a little over 4 hours to get to max charge. Then I tried charging it through the USB port on my laptop. This method took almost 7 hours to get to max charge. Once the unit is charged to max capacity it will last about 2 1/2 hours before needing to recharge unless you are on low beam and then it will last about 2X longer.

If you are looking for a well built flash light this is one you might want to consider. It offers the ability to be recharged, a 2 year warranty, 5 light functions, and can charge from multiple sources. I would like to thank Stupidbright.com and affiliates for sending me this flash light to try out and share my opinion.
