Maxam® Lock Knife Review

This is a very inexpensive pocket knife. The knife has an okay construction over all. It offers a clip to attach to your belt or in your pocket. There is also a thumb stud for helping extend the blade out fully.

The construction of the knife has a metal casing on the outside of it. The screws and rivets seam to be very solid and of a good quality. On the back of the knife there is a press tab to start the knife out of the handle. From there you can use the thumb stud to get the knife out fully. You will not be able to use the thumb stud to get the knife out on its own. It is designed to far on the blade to make it possible to get the blade out with the thumb stud. Now the locking mechanism is on the inside of the handle under the blade. To me this is not a great design and looks to be more of a risk because of the placement.

On the knife blade it is labeled fire fighter and made in China. The blade also has a small serrated edge for ripping. The blade is only a few inches long  but it is very sharp. If you grab the tip of the blade it will sway back and forth in the handle not being 100% secured.

This is a decent knife for a very inexpensive price and a great pocket knife. So if you need a new pocket knife this is one that you may want to consider. It is built decent in the construction, a very nice belt clip, and a very sharp  blade. I would like to thank SKIVU and affiliates for sending me this knife to try out and share my opinion.
