This is a clear bird feeder that attaches to the outside of your house window. It is really easy to place on the window. Upon ordering this bird feeder it comes with the feeding tray, mounting piece, and 8 suction cups.
Now when you get this feeded up do not expect the birds to come directly to your window and start eatting. It takes some time for the birds to build up to trust the food source. I have had my feeded for a month now and the birds still do not come to the window with the blinds open. I do know they are feeding because I see some of the feed being dropped onto the ground. So I will keep filling the feeder and working on the trust with the birds.
There is some small construction to putting this bird feeder together. First thing is putting the suction cups in place. This can be a trying task. The cups where they slide into the mounting piece is very snug. As you put the suction cup in you need to secure the area around the hole because the pressure needed to slide them in will flex the plastic housing. Now as you are trying to slide the nubs into place you need to spin the suction cup so they will slied up a bit easier. If you try to push then straight into place it is almost impssible. Once you have the suctions cups in place on the mounting piece go place it on the window you intend to use. Press the mounting housing to get the suction cups to stick to the window. You will be able to slide them around on the window pretty easy so you can get this piece level. After you have it in place press on the back of the nubs of the suction cups to get the inner cup to lock on the window. Then this piece is actually takes effort to move now. Lastly you place the feeding tray in the 2 grooves and put in the bird feed.
If you are looking for a bird feeder to get you a little closer to nature without intruding this is something to consider. It is easy to hang, maybe a bit difficult to get the suction cups in, and seems to remain attached for long periods of time. Mine has been attached for a month now and not shown any signs of falling off the window.
