This is a remarkable flashlight for its size. It is very small about eight inches in total length. It functions off of three AAA batteries. The flashlight seems to be very well made, kind of reminds me of the old five cell mag lights for the construction. The brightness of the lights in all the stages is very good. There are three light stage functions with this flashlight.
The lighting stages consist of a normal flashlight beam when pushing the button once. The second is a band of lights that are along the side. Finally the third click brings up some red warning lights. Now with the beam part it is incredibly bright and will light up very well for about fifty feet. The second stage of lights on the side are also very bright but are only to one side so it is easy to hold this in the direction needed and not be blinded by the lights. The red warning lights are also bright and very noticeable in a dim lit area.
Now for the magnetic base of this light. It is great if you are able to stand it on end and use the band lights or red lights, for instance on the trunk or top of the car to warn motorist coming down the road. The only drawback I found with this light is the magnetic base, you can not put it perpendicular to the attaching surface because the magnet will not hold the full weight of the flashlight.
Since I have gotten this flashlight many of my others have started disappearing and I make sure this one is readily available. I will have to order a couple more of these for sure, since my father is really trying to lay claims to this one HAHA! I do plan to get one for my truck glove box compartment and keep this one for around the house. I will also have to get one for my dad so he will leave mine alone! If you are in the market for a flashlight, I do really suggest this product. It will light your path easy enough, simple to use, and very compact.
