This is a multi-function mini speaker. It is very small about the size of 2 packs of smokes. It weights about half a pound. Mine included a 3.5mm male ends cable, USB charging cable, instructions manual, and the speaker.
The unit is very nice with how it works. On the back side of the unit there is an on/off switch. Then there is a 3.5mm jack, USB charging socket, and an SD card slot. There is a function button on top to toggle between the blue tooth, FM radio, and Aux. This is a great feature. I did notice that if I plug into the 3.5mm jack in the back it automatically switches to Aux. mode. That makes it super easy to hook up to your phone, tablet, or portable DVD player.
Now for the blue tooth part, it is like any other blue tooth device for when it searches and connects. The range of the connection of the blue tooth was around 25 feet. The only thing that I had an issue with was that when it is in blue tooth mode you can not use the speaker to adjust the volume. It had to be done from the device itself. Which was simple enough.
The speaker quality is fair. For the price of eleven dollars it is extrodinary. It has a really good mid and high range on the speakers. The bass leaves some room for improvements. The speaker could handle the volume at about 60%, anything much after that distortion started becoming a factor. I can easily hear the speaker from 15/20 feet at 50% volume. The sound was clear at that range as well.
Charging the device is more then easy enough. I hooked it to my wall charger, USB port on my desktop, and the USB port on my laptop. It plugged in easy and started charging right away. I charged it for 2 hours on first taking it out of the box. When I turned it off 4 hours later it was still going strong.
If you are in the market for an easy to use external speaker this is a great low cost choice for the price. This is even great for small children as a present since it is so easy to use. I would like to thank Sentey and affiliates for sending me this speaker to try out and leave my opinion.
