Midori Spring Ceremonial (GOLD) Matcha Green Tea Review

Upon ordering this you can see that they have taken some effort to make sure that it is sent to you as fresh as possible. The can is sealed at the top much like a pop can. It has a pull back tab to release and you can hear the vaccuum seal of the tea can give as you are removing it.

Directions on preparing: warm up a bowl of water and bamboo whisk in hot water then wipe dry. Next with a spoon place about 1 tsp. of the Midori Matcha into the bowl. Then pour in about 2 oz. of water into the bowl.(165 degrees or so) Whisk briskly in a W motion until a fine foam appears. Lastly adjust the temp to what you want to drink it at and enjoy.

For me 1 tsp. per 2 oz. of water was a little bit strong for me. I found to my liking that 1 tsp. per 3 oz. of water was a much better tea for me. How I prepared mine was with the use of my Keurig machine. I set the machine to dispense 6 oz. of water. From there I put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. I then added my powder and used my whisk to mix.

I found that if the water is not hot enough the matcha will leave a texture in the water that seems gritty. I also do not have all the proper tools as descibed in the preperations. I lack the bamboo whisk for mixing the water and Matcha powder. My small wire whisk seems to have gotten the job completed though.

Once the water and Matcha are mixed well and the grit part texture is gone it can be served at any temperature you want. My personal taste is when it is hot and sipping it slowly. If you enjoy it at the hot temperature reheating it does not degrade the wonderful flavor of the tea. I also tried it at a much cooler temperature I was not fond of this taste. There is a drastic difference in taste with the different serving temperatures.

There are many immediate and long term health benefits when consuming Matcha, which include: increase in energy without the jitters, reduce stress and improve mental alertness, improve metabolism and help with weight loss, boost immune system, reduce inflammation, and help the body cleanse of harmful elements.

If you are a green tea lover, looking for a great tea for a ceremony, or want a nice tea to offer guests at a social I recommend this Matcha Tea. I would like to thank Life & Food and its affiliates for sending me this Matcha Tea to try out and leave my opinion.
