This blog is about what I get from different companies in the mail for free to sample. I give my feedback on the ones I am allowed to discuss or post about.

HDDT1BSB SATA Single Bay Review
This is a very cool unit to have around offered by Liztek. I have hard drives from old computers laying around doing nothing. Now I have taken the time to format them or collecte the old data that I had forgot about from them. I have also taken the time lable the ones with data on them still with my label gun. Now I have multiple hard drives at my touch with unlimited space this way. I have drives labeled for my movies, pictures, music files, and one I use to back up my main hard drive. I do this weekly now that I have this unit to make it simple.
How this unit works is kind of cool. To start with you plug the power cord into your surge protector or wall outlet. Then plug that cord into the back of the unit. From there you plug in the usb cable to the back of the unit and then to a free USB port on your tower or laptop. It does support USB 3.0 transfer rates. Next you insert your SATA drive into the unit. Lastly, there is an on/off push button on the back of the unit. Press this button on once you have all in place and the USB slot will locate it and you will be able access the information on the drive. This unit weights a couple of pounds to help keep it in place and moving around on the desk from any bumps or vibrations to the desk. It also has 4 rubber feet that help keep it in place and reduce vibrations to the drive that is in place.
What the box highlights:
Top slot-loading design that supports Standard Desktop 2.5 and 3.5 inch SATA Hard Drives. Easy connect to computer with Super Speed USB 3.0 with transfer rate up to 5 Gbps depending on the device. Portable and easy to use Plug & Play, Hot Swap no tools and no drivers needed. Compatible with: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 & Mac OS X with USB Port.
Care insructions are to not beat on this unit at all. Do not put it in direct sunlight, and avoid getting it wet. For most people these are super easy instructions to follow. The only way I see this being any kind of issue would be with a laptop outside working on a project and having this bay subjected to the elements. The only thing that I do beyond these care instuctions is putting microfiber towel over the top to cover it from collecting dirt and lint inside the bay.
If you are looking for a great tool to use for an external drive system that is easy to use for your desktop or laptop this is the perfect choice. It is easy to use and set up. It is light weight enough to take on the go as needed. I would like to thank Gurin and affiliates for sending me this external bay unit to try out and leave my opinion.
