This is pretty cool device. First off it is super small for what it can do. It is not really any bigger then a standard flash drive. The unit comes with a USB charging cord, and a set of ear buds. The unit USB adaptor worked for charging the unit from my laptop, desktop, and wall charger. The only thing I came across with this unit as a whole that I was not happy with, is the ear buds. They only send you one size rubber tips and they are the large and I do not have large ear canals so they are a little painful. The ear buds are not the best quality for music but work great listening to people talking.
The unit works very easy and simple to use. When you plug it into the charger there is a small LED light that flashes between red and blue showing that it is charging. Once charging is complete the LED light is solid blue. This thing is very fast at charging as well. Once out of the box and plugged it in to my laptop it only took about 20 minutes. Next to do the recording there is an on/off button. Shift it to the on position with out the ear buds in and it starts recording. I used it for recording my nephew when he didn't know about it for 2 hours. There was never any lose in the quality of the recordings at any time. Now for the play back on these recordings it is super simple as well. Plug in your ear buds and turn it to the on position. This starts the play back of your recordings. If you have more then one recording or using it as a music source, there are plus and minus buttons on the bottom to switch tracks.
The uses of this mini recorder are only limited by your own imagination. Say for instance you want to see what is happening while you are at work around the house. It is so small and discreet that it can be placed almost anywhere. It also picks up what is going on from a fairly good distance, my guess is about 30 feet or so it is still pretty clear. It can be used for lectures at college to make sure you have all the details correct for study time. It can be used as a regular flash drive to transfer data. It can be used for a music player. This recorder could even be used at work, put it where the co-workers typically have the idle chit chat in a hidden area and see if they are talking about you in a good of bad way. I could see where this could be very useful in law enforcement, being able to record everything that is happening during an encounter and being able to use it to wright reports at the end of the night. Since it is very small and extremely light weight, not to mention how easy it is to turn it on and off makes it a useful tool for almost anyone.
So if you are in the market for a really good quality recording device. If you want a way to track what is happening in your surroundings with out anyone knowing you are getting this information. This is a great unit to start with since it is so compact and easy to use. I would like to thank Uqique and affiliates for sending me this recorder to try out and leave my opinion.
