Titan Military 550 Paracord Review

I opened up my package containing my paracord here. I really had no idea what to expect from it to be honest. After reading the books and playing with the paracord a little I discovered this is a great thing to have. It is much like twine that you pick up at your local hardware store as far as the uses for this thing. Only the paracord is 1000x better then that junk twine. I will personally be ordering a couple more so I can have one for each vehicle and one in my camping pack.
Upon buying this outstanding paracord, I was sent an email with a link to 2 books to use for reference. One of the books has a breakdown on how to use the paracord for knots and securing items. This first book also lists the different projects you can do with the cord. The second of the two books goes into detail many of these projects and how to do them correctly.

A little history of these amazing cords. Parachute cord (also known as paracord or 550 cord when referring to Type III paracord) is a lightweight Nylon kernmantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of U.S. parachutes during World War II. Once in the field, paratroopers found this cord useful for many other tasks, so they would cut the cord from their parachutes after jumping into enemy territory, and store it in their packs for future use.

A paracord’s strength is directly attributed to the individual components that make up the hank, the internal braided strands, the external braided sheath, as well as the type of material used to create those items. This is a type III cord which offers a minimum strength of 550 lb.

If you are in the market for a very durable multi-purpose cord for securing loads, making snare traps, tie down tents, or one of the other thousands of uses: I suggest picking up one of these paracords. I would like to thank Silver Eagle Brands for sending me the paracord to try out and leave my opinion.
