Bike Light Set Review

This light is from a company that I really like called Stupid Bright. The whole meaning of the site is extremely bright lights. Well this is another of their products the SB1600 mounting light. On the page you will also find the SB2600 and SB3000 if the SB1600 is not enough of a light source.

Okay to start with this is the SB1600 which means it is 1600 lumens on the high setting. This is bright enough to light the path for a very long distance. I personally picked this up for a friend of mine that goes to Bingo and is in a mobile chair. He lives about 4 blocks from the Bingo parlor and drives his scooter to there. Now in my state they have to have a head light and a tail light to be able to go on the road in the bike path or side walks. Well this is a very bright light and great for his safety for visibility and makes it very easy to see any pot holes he may encounter on the way home in the dark.

Now this light has a few ways it can be mounted. It has a strap you can put around the bar and then mount the light on top of it with one of the rubber O-ring. You can use the light base directly with one of the rubber O-ring. I mounted his with regular worm-gear clamps for a very strong attachment. Next there is the battery pack to attach. This is designed to go around a bar in the same way as the light. This has 2 rubber straps that anchor. Once you have the light and battery in place you can tie the lines in place so they do not get in the way.

Now the battery pack is pretty cool. This has a plug for powering the light and charging the battery. To charge the battery you plug in the 110 adapter into the wall and then into the battery pack socket. To power the light you put the cord from the light to the battery and it will have power. The battery once it is fully charged will work for about 1 1/2 hours on the brightest setting and over 2 hours on the lower setting. It does take a few hours for the battery pack to get fully charged.

This has 3 settings to choose from when you have it powered up. The first click on the back will put it on the highest settings. This is the 1600 lumens setting. If you press the button a second time it will place the light into the lower mode. Pressing the button one more time will start the light in strobe mode. Clicking it one last time will turn the light off.

If you are looking for a mountable light that is very bright this one will most certainly get the job done. It is very bright at 1600 Lumens, easy to mount, 3 different light modes, has a rechargeable battery pack, and decent battery life for the brightness of this light. I would like to thank Stupidbright.com and affiliates for sending me this light to try out and share my opinion.
