I am an avid fan of silicone bake ware. It is designed for multiple uses, super easy to clean, and virtually non-stick. This is the size of your normal 12 cup muffin pan. This silicone muffin pan is red in color.
This is a food grade silicone. This means there will be no tranfers of chemicals while being used to make food. I have used these to make mini pineapple upside down cakes, corn bread, and muffins. I put a flat baking sheet under my muffin pan so I can use one hand to remove it from the oven. This is not something that is required for this muffin pan only something I do for my convienence. This pan is designed to be non-stick and for the most part holds true. If I get something that sticks a tad bit all I have to do is turn the muffin pan over and press at the center of the cup from the bottom and it usually pops right out with out cleanly. There will be no need to use Pam spray or similar with these muffin pans.
When it comes to clean up silicone bake ware is a breeze to deal with. All I have ever had to use was warm soapy water and a dish cloth. I have never had to use any form of scrubber or special cleaner for silicone bake ware. I then set my silicone bake ware in the strainer to air dry. Since these are silicone they are also dishwasher safe if you want to go that route.
Silicone bake ware is usually good to about 450 degrees of heat. They can also be used in the freezer as well with out harming the pan. So if you have something that you bring out of the over and need to cool it quickly, you can go from the over to freezer with this pan and not damage the pan.
If you are looking for new bake ware this is a product I would consider. It offers the ability to be used in the over/freezer, non-stick, food grade quality silicone, and easy to keep clean.
