9" Crimping, cutting, and stripping Tool
Okay to start with the Amazon page is a little misleading. It is not 175 insulated connectors in this kit. It is only 145 insulate connectors, however there are 55 Zip ties to make it a 201 piece set. This set is designed to work with wire in the 10 to 22 guage sizes. I do not recommend trying to use this on any lower guage wiring because it could do damage to the tool and the connectors are most likely not going to work either way.
In many ways this kit is about the same as one of the Wal-Mart cheapie sets. This one does have a grade above the Wal-Mart set with the crimping tool It is much more sturdy and the handles are insulated a whole lot better. Like most other multi sets like this the crimper is color coded to help you with the correct area for crimping, stripping, and cutting.
This set is a great set for around the house or in the garage. It is however not a great tool for commercial use. The tool is simply to clumsy and not efficient enough for commercial use. This tool is great for in a pinch on some quick fix on wiring around the house. I have used this tool to install my new stereo in my truck, rewired a 3 way switch on my upright light, and a couple of toggle switches.
If you are looking for some general small electrical connectors with a decent crimping tool this is one set you might consider picking up. It offers a variety of connectors, zip ties, a tool with insulated handles, and a case to keep it all together.
