I really like these silicone gloves when it comes to working in then kitchen. They do a really good job when it comes to hot and cold items. The design of these gloves also create a virtually non-slip grip. An added bonus of a silicone pot holder is included with a purchase of these gloves.
I have used these gloves to take pans out of the oven, cleaning the grill, and dishes out of the microwave. The gloves do still leave a bit of a warm feeling to your hand inside of the gloves. It is only a warm feeling, not a burning hot feeling. In that aspect they are like any kind of baking mitt I have ever used. I like having them on when I am cleaning the grill because you are usually close to the cooking area and it always works best if it is hot. This set of gloves keep my hands from burning off my body while I am cleaning my grill. Next the gloves also work on cold. I have used them to pick up blocks of dry ice. I do not recommend doing this for an extended time, but I had no problem holding the ice for about 30 seconds.
The only thing I do not like about this set of silicone gloves is the fact they have no liner. If you hands have a bit or moisture it can be difficult to get the gloves on your hands.
Now these are a solid silicone glove so they can be used in water as well. I know when I am mopping the floor I like to use really hot water to help break up the gunk on the floor. I can use these gloves to ring out the mop without burning my hands since my ringer broke. Of course if you put your hands to far into the water and submerge the gloves the water will get to your hands.
If you are looking for a good set of silicone gloves to do things around the kitchen with baking and cooking this is a fairly good set to consider picking up. I would like to thank GM Kitchen and affiliates for sending me this set of gloves to try out and share my opinion.
