This is a set of 3 mats made to make your gilling life a lot more simple. These mats are aprox. 16 x 13 inches. The mats provide a good non-stick surface for cooking on your grill. The mats are fairly easy to clean after you get a method. The mats do last for several grilling.
The mats are a good non-stick surface. I have been able to cook crab patties, chicken, ribs, hotdogs, hamburgers, ears of corn, potatoes, vegetables, to mention a few things I have used these mats for cooking. Nothing has stuck to the mats unless I had a lot of sauce on the meat. Since there are no holes in the mat you have to barely coat the meat or the sauce will boil and then burn. When this happens it can cause the meat to stick to the mat since there are no drain holes in the mat. I have taken every couple of inches and used a hole punch to prevent this from happening. If you go crazy though it makes it very mat weak and breakable with to many holes. I have found that when cooking most meats if you put a drop of oil on the mat and spread it out really thin it does create a very nice brown surface and more profound grill marks on the meats.
Now for cleaning these mats I grab them off the grill while they are still hot with my silicone gloves. I take them over to the water spicket and hose the mat off. This gets the larger particles that might be left from the sauce. This usually cleans the entire surface very nicely. If it did not get the mat clean I use my green scratch pad gently on the surface and this always works well. Do NOT put a ton of elbow grease into the green scrubber or it could damage the surface of the mat. Lastly, I take the hose to the surface one last time and the mat is ready for the next use. Taking care of the mats in this manner will make the mats last for a longer time. I can usually get about 3 months of grilling out of each mat. Take into consideration I grill out a couple times a week.
