Headlight Headlamp Review

This is a 3 light set up designed to wear on a persons head. The light is also able to work in many different modes. This light uses rechargeable batteries for a power source. Upon ordering this head set it comes with the 2 batteries and 3 different charging cables.

Well to start with the description I saw on Amazon.com said that this was a 6000 lumens of light. I get the box and it says it is 5000 lumens. I have no way to test the actual lumens of the head lamps. All I can say is that this is a very bright set of lights. It lights up anything I want to see in my general area up to about 200 feet extremely well. I am sure the torch goes much further but I really have no use past that when I am using it to work on something.

Next the light has 4 modes of lighting. There is a power button on the top of the center light you press to run through the different modes. Pressing the button once puts the main center torch light on. Pressing the button a second time turns off the center light and activates the 2 side lights. Pressing this button a thrid time turns on all 3 of the lights on the rig. Now pressing the button once again begins a strobe light mode. Pressing the button one last time will power all of the lights off.
Depending on the light mode you are using will depend on how long the batteries will last before needing to be recharged. The more lights on and the brighter you burn the lights the quicker the battery will drain. I can get several hours of use out of each charge of the batteries.

To charge the batteries is very easy to do. First off if you have a battery charger unit you can have extra batteries incase you are going to need the light for an extended amount of time. Where the batteries go into the back of the harness there is a plug in for charging. There are three differnet types of charging cables included in this kit to make sure you are able to recharge the batteries almost anywhere.  First there is a 110w charging cable that you use in a typical wall socket. Second is a lighter plug for charging inside of a vehicle. The third one has a USB adapter that you can charge from a desktop, laptop, or a back up battery power bank. It takes a couple of hours for most of these methods to put a full charge into the batteries.

I use this head set for working on my vehicles because when you are underneath one it can be very dark and hard to see. I also use this headlamp for fishing at night. This way I can escape the sun and still be able to enjoy fishing. I click it on as I need to bait my hooks, land my fish, and fis my drinks.
The harness can be a bit bulky and does take a while to get used to. I have found that it is best to have a hat on to reduce the chance of light blinding me. If you set the harness up where the torches set on the bill of the hat it is no where near as awkward to wear.

If you are looking for a very bright light to offer a hands free light source that is very bright this might be fit your exact needs. It is very bright, has many light modes, includes the batteries, decent battery life, and great for lighting work project areas. I would like to thank Wedyne and affiliates for sending me this light harness to try out and share my opinion.
