This is a gold plated necklace in 18k gold. It can be purchased in 22 and 24 inch sizes. It is a large width necklace and comes with a good quality clasp. The necklace does have a 2 year guarantee on the color of the necklace not fading.
Well for me this is much like every other plated necklace I have ever tried to wear. My skin has a reaction to the metal and does create a ring where this lays on my skin. It did take a few days of putting this on to have the reaction. So it works as long as I do not keep it on for long periods of time or wear it daily. Even though my skin does have a reaction to the necklace, the necklace does not lose its luster.
The necklace has a strong lobster claw clasp, I think that is what it is called. It will be able to take some small snags unlike most plated necklaces. It will do like any other necklace if you snag it on something very firm, it will break.
