This is a set of 3 bladder like reusable compress. The set of 3 include 11", 9", and 6" bladder bags. The packs are really easy to fill and use. These packs are blue with a white threaded lid.
I have started using mine daily to help with my headache. I have had a headache now for 6 years everyday, all day long, rain, or shine. So I now put 6 ice cubes into the bladder bag and fill it about half way with water. I then place it on the back of my neck or the top of my head which ever seems to help the most with reducing the headache some. It never gets rid of it but it does lessen the intensity. On the days my head is really bad I use the 2 large bladders and place one on top of my head and the other on the back of my neck.
Now the packs are super easy to fill. It has a threaded twist off lid that holds it in place sercurly. All you have to do with these packs are twist off the white plastic lids. Then add in some ice cubes and water to make a cold pack. It takes a couple of minutes for the pack to start feeling cool to the touch. Now for using it with a hot pack you can simply run the hot water on full and go with that. The other option is to boil some water on the stove or heat it up in the microwave. Much like the cold water it takes a couple of minutes to become hot/warm to the touch.
The twist on lids are a fairly fine thread. This alone helps protect from leaks and seeping. There is also a thin gasket that ensure that the bladder pack does not leak. All that is required is twisting the lid onto the bag and snug it to keep it from leaking.
If you are looking for a hot/cold pack to use around the house for bumps and bruises or even how I use it for my headache these bladder packs are a great product to consider.
