This blog is about what I get from different companies in the mail for free to sample. I give my feedback on the ones I am allowed to discuss or post about.

ORICO External Enclosure Case Review
This is an enclosure case used to create an external hard drive for you computers. It attaches simply to almost any PC. It is very compact and light weight. Upon ordering this unit it came with a USB to Case adapter cable, instructions manual, extra foam pad, and the case enclosure.
I will start with the ease of use with this kind of enclosure. It does not require any drive to boot up the drive. Your typical search when plugging in to a USB port will almost always find it. Installing your HDD or SSD in the unit is a very simple plug and play set up like plugging it into your USB drive.
To attach this external drive case is very simple. First is make sure you have attached the hard drive in the case sercurly. Next put the case cover on the drive. Then you attach the cable to the enclosure. It will only plug in one direction. After that you plug it into a USB port and it will do the plug and play search. From there is it like opening your normal USB zip drive, only this unit supports up to 2 TB. This enclosure case is also 3.0 compliant for a fairly fast transfer rate.
The only thing that I can say need some improvment is the stability inside the case for the hard drive. If you bang it or slide it around a lot the hard drive can pull out of the connection and go dark. I have made a small shim for mine that I put in the back of the hard drive once I have it slid in place. Since then I have had no issues at all with it going dark again.
Personally I use this as my back up drive for all of my work. I keep it in my fire proof box once I back up my files for more security. It is not like top secret or anything but I want to protect my work as much as possible. I would be really upset and hate to start over if I were to lose my book to a hard drive crashing, so this is a perfect tool for me.
I can see where this can be used to change out multiple drives for people with laptops. I know if I had a fairly small drive or onlhy a single bay capacity in my laptop I would want one for my movies, music, documents, and drivers. Plus it is really simple to swap out drives. Take it out of the USB port, open the case, switch out the hard drives, close the case, reattach the USB cable. Takes about 20 seconds to swap drives and it is really simple because there are not screws or tools needed to swap. The other thing I see being great with this is for people that work at ad agencies or the likes. Being able to label each drive to each customer with your displays with the safety of its own back up storage. There are no limits to what you can do with an enclosure like this for back up drives.
If you are looking for a very easy and compact with back up drive capabilities this can most certainly take care of your needs. This unit is designed to work with 7.0 and 9.5MM slim 2.5" Sata drives. It will support up to 2 TB, USB 3.0, and up to 5Gbps transmission rates. I would like to thank FirstClassShopping and affiliates for chosing me to try out this enclosure and give my opinion.
