These are 8000Mah back up power banks. Currently there are three colors red, green, and blue. Each has its own monster depicted on the face. These power banks are simple to use and charge. Upon ordering one of these power banks it comes with an instructions manual, micro USB to USB charging cable, and the power bank.
First I want to start with design of these power banks. They are very unique and great conversation starters. Everyone and I mean everyone that has seen me with this has asked about it. The conversation really picks up when the eyes start glowing and how it is related to the amount of power left.
It is super simple to charge these power banks. All it requires is a powered USB port and the charging cable. Plug the cable into the powered port and then into the Micro USB slot on the power bank. It will then start charging the power bank. I was able to charge the power bank from my laptop, desktop, 110 to USB adapter, and from a lighter plug to USB adapter in my car.
It takes about an hour to charge the bank completely through my laptop and desktop. Takes about 50 minutes with my 110 to USB wall socket adapter. I am not sure about the one in my vehicle but I was at 2 hours and was not going to waste any more time there. It would only be useful for a car adapter to recharge if you are going to be driving a long distance because the 2 hours I put into it got it to about 3/4 charge.
I was able to use this power bank to recharge my tablet, cell phone, Bluetooth ear buds, and my Bluetooth speaker. From what I can tell it will recharge almost any device that can use a USB port to recharge. Now once it is charged it is like any other battery with the slow drain while sitting idle. The drain is very small though. I charged it to full and let it set for a week and the color of the eyes declared the battery was still very near full. The color of the eyes stand for these charging levels:
Blue means fully loaded
Purple means from 70 - 30%
Red means bellow 30%
Red flashing means bellow 10%
The next really cool thing about this power bank is it offer the shake to wake concept. This means you have to actually shake the battery pack for it to register to turn on. You will know you have it powered up when the eyes start to glow.
This power bank also offers 2 separate USB ports for recharging your devices. This is very nice for being able to charge my tablet and phone at the same time. When I had both of the devices plugged in to get a charge from the power bank there was no loss of power to either device.
If you are looking for a power bank for recharging your devices this is one to consider for sure. It is great conversation piece, has 2 charging ports, shake to wake, and very easy to use.
