Spy Pen Camera Review

This is a camera shaped like an ink pen. It has 720p resolution for the camera. It is a little larger then the average pen but it is still really hidden well. Upon ordering this spy pen it comes with the pen, a USB extention cable, an SD card, ink refills, and an instructions manual.
To start with the instructions manual is pretty much difficult. It does not give very good directions on changing modes or almost anything to do with the pen. It will however make it where you can do some of the functions with what it does provide.

I was fairly suprised at how well this spy pen works. It has a much better picture and camera quality then I would have ever thought. The cool part is being able to use it as a digital camera. The hardest part is figuring out the mode you are in and what mode you need to be in. It takes a little bit of tinkering to get it figured out. Now the sound quality is fair. It is not great but it is enough that you can make every thing out clearly.

Now It says in the description that it comes with a 16 GD SD card. Mine had only an 8 GB SD card. There was also a claim of 5 ink refills included in the package. This again was incorrect, there were only 3 in my case.

I do like how compact the pen is. It is a bit larger then a regular ink pen in diameter. Not so much that it will draw attention to it in a way that would be noticed. The camera hole is very small and near tht top of the pocket clip. This hides if very well. There is also to other smaller holes along the side of the pen. One is for a reset on the camera and the other one is an indicator light.

Charging the pen is super easy. All you have to do is unscrew the pen from the middle and you will expose the USB plug in adapter already built into the pen. This is also where the SD card is mounted and where you change the mode on the camera. This is simple a simple plug into a USB port that is powered and it will charge. I was able to use my laptop, desktop, and 110 to USB socket adapter to charge the ink pen.

If you are looking for a way to spy on your surroundings with out being noticed directly this is a device that can get the job done. It is compact, fairly easy to use once figured out, has decent video and sound, can be used as a webcam, and will handle about 20 minutes of video or a ton of pics.
