Portion Control Containers Review

These are exactly what they say. These containers are designed to help plan a balanced meal. Upon ordering these there are 7 containers, 7 lids, and a small booklet to help you with understanding how they work.

These 7 containers are color coded and of various sizes. The colors are Green for vegetables, red for proteins, yellow for carbs, purple for fruit, blue for fats, and 2 for seeds and dressings. Personally I use one of the orange containers as a pill box.

The containers do close and snap on fairly snug. They can be a bit of a hassel to pop the tops off of them. It would have been great if there was a corner lift tab on them but they would not stack inside so nicely then. These containers can usually take small drops or tumbles with out popping open and spilling from my experience.

The manual that came with these cups is a handy guide. It gives you the categories and several examples of what is supposed to be used in those categories. They have it listed as a shopping guide on the manual. There is also a graph to show calorie intake based on the portion containers.

These containers are easy to care for as well. They are dishwasher safe if that is an option for you. They can be used in the microwave with some restrictions, like venting the lid. The containers can get very warm as well from in the microwave so take caution when grabbing them. These containers are great for putting in the refrigerator because they seal tight and prevent odor and taste transfer from random sources.

If you are in the market for a simple and easy to follow portion system for a diet or what ever purpose you need this is a great set to consider. They seal tight, stack nicely for space saving, and easy care and cleaning. I would like to thank Prefer Green and affiliates for sending me this set of portion containers to try out and share my opinion.
