First and foremost these are awesome. There are some things you will need to find out about your smart phone before purchasing a unit like this. It works with a lot of smart phones, but not all of them. This creates a wireless charging platform for compatable devices. Upon ordering this unit it came with a USB to micro USB charging cable, instrucions manual, and the wireless charging pad.
What you need to look for is the ability of your phone to use the QI charging technology. I have found this in every manual I have read for phones that support QI. If your manual does not say it specifically you will need to go to the manufacuters page to check it directly.
This device can be plugged into many differnt ports to create power to charge your device. I have plugged it into my laptop, desktop, and 110 to USB wall charger. Each of them provide power to charge my phone. This really makes it convinient for charging. While I am out traveling I can charge my phone from my laptop. Then it is near me instead of across the room plugged into the wall. While I am at home in the office I plug this into my desktop and have it there next to the mouse pad and ready for use if I need. It is super simple to set up as well. All it requires is plugging the USB end of the cable into a powered USB port and then plugging the Micro USB port into the unit. There are 2 differnt slots to plug into the charging with Micro USB ports. Depending on how you have your pad set up can make a difference on which plug in works best for you. For instance is you have the pad laying flat the top plug would be best. If you are using the props then the one in the back will most likely be optimal.
On the back of the unit there are 2 differnt prop legs for this charging pad. Depending on your view looking at the pad might make a difference on the prop you use. I use the larger metal leg on my desk because it makes it more upright and easily viewable. When I have it charging from my laptop in the hotel room I use the smaller of the two legs because most of the time when I am looking at the charging pad there I am standing. These prop legs are the only thing I find about this unit that can be considered sub standard. Neither of these legs are designed to be durable and they are flimsy.
If you have done your research and ready to move to the next level of charging ease for your device this is a great product to consider.
