This thing is pretty awesome for a budget camera. I look forward to trying this out on my diving trip over the holidays this year. Since it is water proof I am looking forward to getting some of the ocean life in motion captured.
The camera comes with all these accessories so you can attach it to a bike, a helmet, a car, a boat, your belt, well pretty much anything. This can be used for extreme sports captures, diving, or even tracking what you are doing while driving. How this works is by having your laptop with you and have the software going to record as you are going down the road. There is attachments for the dash or windshield.
The software I mentioned earlier you have to load on your device and for instance to my laptop. What this does is allows you to have real time video footage. This can be watched in real time and/or recorded for later uses. This is ideal for my underwater voyage because I can take video footage for an hour. Then I can come back edit the footage as I want and keep for my own personal library. It says with this water proof case it can record up to 30 meters below the surface of the water! This can also be set up as a nanny cam as well if you think there is something hinky going on and you want to get to the bottom of what it might be. The camera has a built in mic so you can record sound as well if need too.
This has a slot for adding an SD card to use for memory if you do not have it set up to your PC. It will allow to a max of 32MB SD card. Another cool feature that most do not allow, you can continue to record and use the camera if you need while it is charging. Most shut down automatically once the charging cable is plugged in.
A few other nice features include, a HD screen display for videos and image playback, HD 12 megapixel wide angle lens, HDMI output, can be used as a web cam, supports 1080P, 720P, WVGA, and MOV recording format, it is very light weight, and comes in many colors.
If you are looking for a great budget camera with a lot of bells and whistles this is for sure one you should consider. It is light weight so it will not hinder you in the actions you are doing, the camera is very versatile in what it supports, and water proof for under water media capture.
