This blog is about what I get from different companies in the mail for free to sample. I give my feedback on the ones I am allowed to discuss or post about.

Moisture Sensor Meter Review
Well this is a meter designed to measure water saturation in the dirt around where you have them planted. It has 3 different settings that it reads out on the gauge. How to use this meter is very simple. Stick it in the ground to the root level and read the meter.
Personally my meter does not work at intended. I have some house plants I was testing this out on. It said the soil was dry. So I added water and gave it a few hours to settle in. Then I re-stuck the probe back in to my flower pot. It said it was still dry at the roots. So I again added more water, I did this 3 more times and the result was still the same. It told me the soil at the roots was dry. So my next thing was to check the soil with my own eyes. I grabbed a hold of my garden spade and dug the dirt out of one side of the pot. It was wet all the way to the base of the pot.
I would suggest if you are going to spike this into the ground outside of your house that you first punch a hole in the ground with a ice pic or Phillips screwdriver. Doing this will prevent damage to the tip and its readings if it works. After each use it says you should clean the tip each and every time.
With this meter you might be taking a chance, mine may be defective. If yours works as intended it will be a great device to help those that do not have a green thumb. It would be vital to stopping the over watering like most do that do not have the green thumb. I would like to thank Flora for sending me this moisture meter to try out and share my opinion.
