MSLPro Blackout Light for Emergencies Review
This is a battery back up emergency light model number LED2835EB. Upon ordering this light it came with the flexible neck plug in, LED light buld, a clip, and instructions manual. The product Specifications are:
Flexible plug socked 50-60 hz 4A max 100W
LED light source
lamp power: 5W
color temperature 6000k
lamp body aluminum alloy
This is a great light for back up when the power goes out. It plugs into your normal light socket. With the flexible neck it will adjust to what angle works best for you in whatever lighting situation you may need. If you have the switch turned on for the light and the power goes out from loss of power this light will turn on automatically. Personally I have mine plugged into the wall next to my breaker box incase of a breaker being tripped I can see to fix it. When you do install this unit you need to make sure that it is a dry area and not going to get wet because it will ruin the unit because electric and water do not mix.
These lights have so many uses other then just an emergency light. They can be used for work benches with the adjustable neck to position the light in the direct area you are working. They can be used in rooms that do not have lights for instance under the stairs or a closet. This is a great light for safe rooms in storms when the electric might go out. This will help keep the kids from so much panic because it is dark and the outside is making scary noises.
Since this has an LED bulb it is designed to last for years of service. On the instructions manual it has a read out of usage with this light. It says that if the light is used 3 hours per day that it should last 45.6 years. It says that the estimated cost is 66 cents per year at 12/kWh with the 3 hours per day usage. The light produces 300 lumes on brightness and the 6000k temperature puts it towards the cool side of lighting. If the bulb does ever go out make sure you replace it with another LED bulb. Also make sure not to put in a larger watt bulb because this can damage the unit.
The initial charging of the battery is 12 hours. From there it will self charge while plugged into the socket. It will stay lit for 5 hours off of its own back up battery. If you are looking for a very good and long lasting backup emergency light this is a great product to pick up. It is easy to install and use. It offers a extended source of light when the power is out. The light is very economical on its power consumption. This light is made to last for pretty much a life time. I would like to thank Motion Sensor Light Pro for sending me this emergency light to try out and share my opinion.
