This is a fairly nice multimeter for the cost. It comes with: Volmate Digital Multimeter, 2 Test Leads, 9V Battery, and User's Manual. It has an LED back lit screen which is extremely nice. This multimeter is designed to take measurements of all sorts. These measurements include.

If you have ever used a similar multimeter to this one, prepare to be amazed at how much better this one is over a standard multimeter with just a couple of upgrades. These upgrade include the back lit LED screen, a small kick stand on the back of the unit, and a silicone sleeve.
First and foremost the back lit LED screen. This is such a nice upgrade to standard units because it makes it so much easier to clearly see your readings. I have worked in low lit areas where I was trying to hold the leads and a flashlight so I could see the read out. Most of the time that was my pen light in my mouth so I could have my hands free for the leads. Next is the kick out leg on the back of the unit. This makes it where I am not trying to do a calf raise with the meter on my knee so I can see the read out screen. The last and not a major upgrade is the silicone sleeve around the side of the unit. This helps with your grip on the unit making it more non slip and also reduces impact damage if dropped.
The multimeter is about 5 inches by 3 1/3 inches. The meter is about 1 1/2 inches thick. This unit is very compact and light weight coming in at about 1/2 pound. The meter has a hard plastic housing. On the back at the top is the battery cover that has a screw to hold it in place. The face of the unit has the dial control for what you are needing to measure. It is a spin dial that clicks as you change your settings. There are also two press in buttons on the front, one is to hold your reading and the other is to turn the light on. On the front is also where the 3 slots are to plug in your leads for testing.
The unit does a great job of measuring an assortment of currents. I have tested about 5 differnt setting to see how accurate it is against my other meter supplied from work. It did very well and was near perfect on every reading. If there was any difference in the reading it was so small that it would be impossible to tell the difference. I think this may be because of the lead wires with this unit. They are not heavy duty so I am sure a small amount of variance will happen.
If you are in the market for a multimeter for electrical readings this unit will take care of all your needes. WIth the added features mentioned above makes it a must have for anyone working in these fields.
